Hey y’all! I’m very excited to be hosting the Fall Craft Link Par-tay tomorrow! Over the weekend I added a few fun seasonal touches to the dining room. And I made soup. Because we all know soup and fall go hand in hand.
Last week, I brought home a bunch of gourds and pumpkins and scattered them across the table, then hung a few festive corn husk pom poms because don’t we all need more pom poms in our life? Yes, thank you, we do.
I played around with a few vignettes on the table watching the 49ers win (yes!). This one includes vibrant viburnum leaves from my yard in a vase full of white cannelloni beans (the stems are placed in water in a more narrow glass inside…) which also made me crave soup.
There is no such thing as too many white pumpkins in my book, this beauty is garnished with a few faux berries.
I distressed some plain ol’ orange pumpkins with paint – I love the contrast between the crisp white and intense orange.
So there’s a quick tour of the dining room – fall-ified for fun.
I’ll give you all the easy how to on the pom poms and pumpkins tomorrow, plus show you one more little project finished as well. The Par-tay starts at 6 a.m. PST. Bring your best fall craft!
Here’s a handy button to link up.
See you tomorrow!

Agreed – we need more pom poms and white pumpkins. I got those same cinderella pumpkins at TJ’s. <3 them
Stunning Kate. I agree…never too much. Just like shoes and purses! Think I’ll be heading down to the farm stand once again for a little more pumpkin bling. And thanks again for the college info ;)
I love the white pumpkins too. Everything is so beautiful and elegant Kate…LOVE!
I LOVE this table! The white pumpkins are really pretty. I can’t wait to make some pom poms, really nice. Beautiful setting for fall.
Looks so pretty- I ♥ the white, too. This year, I GREW some white pumpkins-and I got three of them to come out and play here in the high desert of Oregon. They go on the table/mantle tomorrow :)
I love the light colors of your decorations.
Now I know where all those pumpkins went …… via la Trader Joes :)
Fantastic…clean with a punch of color. Just how we like it here at ViVO!

I really like the napkins/towels on the plates. Those are my favorite colors.
It’s all about white pumpkins for me this year too. I just LOVE them! Great job on the tablescape:)
This table is beautiful! We just painted our dining room a pumpkin color…. so something like this would be awesome. Looking forward to your tutorials!
I’ve always been a sucker for white pumpkins. That distressing? Total GENIUS. Also genius, the white beans surrounding the smaller vase. I thought I was creative, but you’ve got a whole other level :)
That looks like it came right out of a magazine. I think I will stop over for dinner tomorrow.

I have never seen anyone distress a pumpkin before. I can’t believe I didn’t think this one up since I love white. Table looks so gorgeous and so non-cliche.
Lovely! This former cheerleader agrees with you–everyone could use a pom pom or two (or more). :) Your tablescape is so pretty…I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone distress pumpkins before. That’s a really neat technique!
I found you through Southern Hospitality. I love your house – the “aged” pumpkin especially.
The white beans are brilliant. Now I have a great idea for my mantle!
Your table looks so pretty and festive, I love white bean soup too. I’ve been going slow cooker crazy the past few weeks at my house!
Gorgeous!
Gorgeous….just gorgeous!!! Now I can’t wait to start decorating my home for the Fall. Hopefully this weekend. :) Thanks for the beautiful inspiration Kate.
Beautiful inspiration this post! I love the whites….you have a great eye for colors :) Just linked up . Thanks for hosting :)
I love your little rafia pompoms :) how adorable!! The entire table is gorgeous – I’m so totally inspired. I particularly love the dried white beans in the vase with the sprig of foliage – genius!!
Gorgeous! Love the pom poms.
What an absolutely beautiful setup. I also tried mixing the beige poms with a few pows made with dried leaves, in varied sizes. It added a bit more color to the room and allowed me to cut back on the amount of paper I used. Thanks for the tips!
