Commercial ready: Just call me Mrs. Minwax
Okay, so I am not really doing a commercial. But I did refinish a dresser using Minwax products a month ago, and submitted the project to their website. I just found out they picked little ol’ me as the winner of the Minwax Project Showcase! Hooray!
I’m a Project Showcase Winner !
You may remember this project where I salvaged a dresser from the Goodwill store for my nephews. This solid wood, but badly abused, dresser originally cost $15. I refinished it using Minwax tinted stain in Antique Red and finished it off with Minwax Wipe-On Poly.

Minwax likes me! They really like me !
See my winner’s profile here on the Minwax website.
And if that’s not enough, stay tuned for my other Minwax product redos: a little bench, and my entire two story staircase.
So now it’s time to celebrate !
Congratulations! And I’m pretty new to this blog, so I enjoyed seeing the dresser photos too.
Congrats! That’s awesome news!

Congrats! That dresser is gorgeous! I can't get over the before and after. And I never knew about taking water marks out with mayo! :>
Mayo, eh? I have a Goodwill dresser that I have been neglecting. Maybe it’s time to address that water stain… Impressive before/after! Go make Minwax proud.
Congratulations! I’m so impressed, I never thought something like that would be repairable so easily. I’ll be linking. Oh, and I saw the playroom on TYH-wonderful!
Do you get a lifetime supply of Minwax?
CONGRATULATIONS! that is terrific news – I loved that project! I went to a thrift store today and thought of you, wondering what you would do with all the stuff that just looked like junk to me :-)
You da WO-man! Long last recognition! You on FIRE, baby! Way to go!
Oh man! This looks FANTASIC!! Isn’t it the best feeling *ever* when you can revamp something you got for $15 and it looks that great! Great job! :)
Congratulations! That dresser reno was TOTALLY award worthy–you deserve it!
