BOTB 10.17.14

By Kate Riley October 17, 2014

The weather suddenly has switched from warm to cool this week here in Northern California, it’s as if fall decided to arrive in one day. The change in the air requires layers and justifies cute boots, I love it! Yesterday instead of rushing out and running errands that could wait, I found myself enjoying the foggy morning; I lit fall candles, sipped tea, and caught up on some reading, such a treat!

Last night we anxiously watched the baseball game and cheered on our local SF Giants team as they won the NL Pennant, an exciting win for all of us Bay Area fans… This weekend brings another round of ‘Best of the Blogosphere’ and I’m here to share some inspiring projects and spaces, enjoy!

A green velvet headboard is a gorgeous accent in this guest bedroom makeover at Design Improvised.

  1. That green headboard is gorgeous and worth a save even if I never copy it. And I love the chandelier in the bedroom. I so want a smaller one overhead in my D’office – something slightly feminine/romantic in that otherwise business/industrial space. Lovely eye candy to enjoy with my coffee this Saturday morning.

  2. Interesting BOTB, as always. (My hometown KC Royals will be ready for your Giants. :-D )

  3. Thank you SO much for featuring my guest bedroom Kate! I’m so flattered you liked it! FYI – I’m going to be giving away one of those gorgeous green headboards from hayneedle.com on my blog Design Improvised next Monday 11/3 in case your readers are interested!
