Best of September + Weekend Reading

Friday, October 4th, 2013

I have really enjoyed this week so much, between the fall sprucing and the beautiful weather, it’s been lovely hanging around the house. This weekend is shaping up to be both relaxing and busy in a good way, we’re wrapping up the soccer season, working on the shelter home that’s recently been painted, I’ll be trimming a window and painting a front door and sharing more details soon. And of course Sunday brings another round of great football watching!

Here’s the roundup of the not to miss posts from September: best of sept 1

Autumn arrived in the living room with a few seasonal touches; I tackled two more colors in the Color Series, decorating with black and decorating with orange. Also DIY fabric coasters.

June Roundup + Sponsor Spotlight

Wednesday, July 10th, 2013

I swear, summer makes me so forgetful. Must be all the extra sunshine and lazy days… I forgot to post a June roundup, so here goes, the top ten posts from June!

best of june 1

I beefed up a set of Billy bookcases in the bedroom and shared a tour of one of our favorite wine tasting spots: the Alexander Valley! A bench got a mod makeover, and the spotlight was on dine-in libraries.

I shared my two favorite sets of slipcovered furniture and how they’ve held up all these years, and also a tour of my childhood home. I have an incurable obsession with virtual makeovers, and the summer mantel got a little glitzy gold restyling. We hosted a sangria party and I shared the best mixed berry preserves recipe.
