Maui No Ka Oi

Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013

Oh, just editing these pictures makes me miss Maui so much. *sigh* After our three days in Oahu on spring break we island hopped to Maui for another four days of bliss. “Maui No Ka Oi” in Hawaiian means “Maui is the best” and it’s a phrase tossed around by Maui residents a lot – they take pride in the beauty and community of their island.

We love Oahu, Kauai, and the Big Island too, each has its own unique beauty, yet we find ourselves returning to Maui the most because for us it offers everything we want to do, see, and taste when in Hawaii.

Adventures in Oahu

Monday, March 25th, 2013

Hi there everyone! We’re traveling back home today after a week spent in the Hawaiian Islands – three days in Oahu and four days on Maui. Matt and I traveled to Hawaii for the first time on our honeymoon and we’ve returned many times over the years.

Spending time in Hawaii is really special and Oahu (like all the other islands) is incredibly relaxing. We tasted so much good food, we were again spoiled by all the beauty, and we had a ton of fun as a family.

The afternoon we arrived we just chilled by the pool at our hotel, but the next day we were out and about, traveling north to the surfer town of Haleiwa.
