Bathroom Vanities with Tops

By Kate Riley March 9, 2015

After the shower turned out so well at Grandma’s house we decided the vanity looked a little shabby in comparison so I went on the hunt for a bathroom vanity with a top that would fit the space (48-54″). With some research I found one with a marble top to complement the marble tile in the shower.

When complete the bathroom will have a contemporary gray and white palette just like the kitchen. The house will be put on the market at the end of the month so I made choices that are universally appealing in a transitional style.

As a reminder here is the “before” with the upgrades that will be installed below.

Many modern free standing vanities have furniture style feet which often means you have to replace the flooring as well if removing an older cabinet version. We’re in the same boat so we’re installing vinyl plank flooring underneath the new vanity.

*** Update: we chose a different vanity for this bathroom space makeover, see it here.

I rounded up more single sink vanities in styles wider than the more petite powder room sized vanities I linked to a few weeks ago if you’re planning a bathroom refresh!

I’ll have a reveal to share at the end of the month, it will be gorgeous!

  1. Wow. I clicked on over to Home Depot and looked at the flooring. All together I think is going to look fabulous. I really love the bank of drawers right down the middle. The more drawers in a bathroom the better. I can’t wait to see the end result.

  2. I love the light you picked! I don’t think the link to it works, though. Do you mind telling me where the light can be found? thanks in advance – so excited to see the end result!

  3. The vanity is gorgous! I like how much storgae it has and the overall calming spa like feel the bathroom will have. Good job! Thank you for sharing with us. You aspire me.

  4. I couldn’t believe that first option with the black top was from Lamps Plus! So chic…but then again, they are all gorgeous.

  5. Your planned changes are fabulous but I think the bathroom looked perfectly fine to sell as is. Are you trying to increase the resale value?

    • Yes Laura, this is a hot market right now in CA and a little investment goes a long way :)

  6. I have used the same vinyl flooring in a guest bathroom and LOVE it. We get lots of compliments.

  7. We used that last vanity (chestnut) in our master bathroom remodel that was just completed. I ordered it without the top and had a misty carerra quartz counter installed. It looks AWESOME with the oversize hex marble mosaic floor. I’m in heaven! The vanity is great quality for the price, too. Although we had a double sink 60″ vanity in our last house, I really love having a 60″ single now. So much more storage and counter space.

Can’t wait to see which one you choose!
