Weekend Reading

By Kate Riley June 13, 2014

I have been living out of a suitcase all week road tripping with the kids and our stops have been transient yet oh so fun! We landed first in Las Vegas for three days to meet with contractors and visit with my parents, today we’re headed down to San Diego since our oldest is graduating from UCSD tomorrow (that four years went by so fast!) Her furniture will be loaded up and she will follow behind us later, then we’re headed home to Northern California on Monday, such a crazy week, we’re covering a lot of miles!

One thing is for sure. Like Nester I’ve counted the number of summers left with my littles and I’m determined not to miss this one. I know it will be full yes FULL of the things we do, the camps, the activities, the barbeques, the travels, and add on top of that this new house project, and yet I’m sublimely relaxed at the notion that we will take it all in stride and one day at a time.

Meanwhile I’m storing up ideas for the future and can’t get enough of bold patterns like this Bungalow wallpaper by Thibaut, featured in an entry at Better Homes & Gardens, I love it!
