Welcome to the weekend friends! Great news, this week we closed escrow on that fixer house we bought, I’ll share more details about the purchase process and some ideas for the future remodel next week. I’m really excited to have a blank canvas to transform and there will be plenty of DIY projects as we progress from room to room, more details to come, let the renovation journey begin!

Finally a note about my summer schedule. Today was the last day of school for us and the kids are home with me so I’m going down to a three post a week schedule from now through mid August. Summers are just too laid back and fun to spend behind a computer screen all day! Thanks for understanding about the slower pace around here.
Have a great weekend!

I’m not sure how successful it would be in my home with two kids around, though I love the concept of that hanging table.
The headboard idea from Lowe’s is great. I must have missed it in Lowe’s Creative Ideas booklet since I wasn’t looking for headboard ideas. Grabbed me now because my guest bedroom is in need and it is done in the soft aqua and tomato reds of this room (although walls haven’t been painted this lovely color yet. Took down the fake plastic woven screens that resembled wicked because they were just too tall and too heavy in color (the antique blue of the secretary in the room). Love the light, open look of these screens. Thanks for the inspiration! Looking forward to the fix of the fixer.
Congrats on the house! can’t wait to see it all happen!
