PCH + KRD

By Kate Riley May 1, 2014

You know how you dream of something happening and envision the moment it actually comes true? Well today it has for me! You’re all familiar with Pine Cone Hill, the amazing linens company founded by Annie Selke. Pine Cone Hill makes the most beautiful bedding, I’ve loved their collections for a decade, and have purchased several favorites over the years for adding layers of style and comfort to our home. Well pinch me because today they are featuring my fabric patterns paired with theirs!

The wonderful team at Pine Cone Hill contacted me weeks ago wanting to pair two of the prints from my collection with their fresh and fabulous bedding. I was delighted to collaborate, how pretty is this bed dressed up in pale blue and white?!

If it’s color you seek, there will be plenty available soon. My shop will be filled with it in late May including some gorgeous color medleys in the feisty zig zag Mingle pattern

Also the classic Sprig pattern of leaves and berries in multiple color combinations.

I am so thrilled that Pine Cone Hill selected my patterns to combine with their gorgeous linens, it’s like having your photo taken with a celebrity! But so much better, because to be recognized as a new designer by an established one means so much.

I have 8 new Summer patterns I’m releasing in late May: florals, geometrics, and painterly swirls, I’m printing and styling them over the next few weeks and I can’t wait to share them!

  1. Just love this combo. It’s the same shade I’m thinking for our master bedroom. I want it to feel calm and restful. So beautiful!

  2. Kate, Congratulations .. so well deserved! !BTW I am thrilled that your website is working without all that spam stuff. My husband was a nuts about it. I can’t live without Censational Girl. Yes, I am addicted, but oh what a great addiction.

  8. Congratulations Kate! What an honor and so well deserved! I am so happy for you getting the recognition when you have worked so long and hard on this. Your fabrics are beautiful and I have my eye on your florals coming out soon. I’ve got a project waiting for one of your coral florals.

  9. Congrats! Your fabric designs are beautiful. You are a talent for sure.

  10. Congratulations! I love it. So, what I really want is for a company to carry bedding, i.e. duvet covers and sheets, in some of your great patterns. They would be perfect for my bedroom. I DO NOT sew. Perhaps I could find a seamstress?

  11. Good job! I told you a quilt with your fabrics would be just the ticket. PCH is a great one to pair with.

  12. Congratulations Kate. These are really, really beautifully designed fabrics. I’m so in love with the Sprig patter. It’s scrumptious!

  13. Congrats! Beautiful and how awesome to be able to add textile designer to your list of many talents! When your new fabrics come out, I will be mentioning them on my blog! xo Maria

  14. Congratulations! Your fabric designs exude SPRING. Love the bed skirt in print.

  15. Congratulations Kate! I wish you much success. I agree with Jamie’s comment above, I’d love to see some patterned sheets. I like to keep my duvets simple, and I find it hard to find great patterned sheets to add.

  16. Thanks Roxanne (and everyone) I agree I’d love to see my prints available as bedding someday… not sure when but it’s definitely something I’d love to see happen. :) For now, I’m just going to keep creating!

  17. Congratulations! Your designs are just lovely and coordinate so beautifully. Here’s hoping this leads to even more collaborations!

  18. Sending my congratulations, too, Kate! You are so creative and deserving. I’m enjoying the ride your passion is taking us all on. Thanks for sharing it with us!

  19. Your fabric designs are a beautiful complement to Pine Cone Hill’s bedding. Congrats!

  20. Congratulations!

I am looking for one of the fabrics from your holiday line (Ribbons Berry & Aqua) for my cousins’s wedding and it appears it’s no longer sold on Spoonflower. Before I give up, can you tell me if there’s anywhere else I might be able to track that down?
