Get Some Green

Raise your hand if you’re completely over winter and ready for all things spring? Count me among you! With St. Patrick’s Day arriving next week and tiny little buds appearing on the trees outside my home, I cannot help but get excited the season and the idea of bringing shades of green indoors.

Nature is the first place I look to for inspiration during the seasons and in spring, green takes the spotlight. When shopping for new accessories, I’m always looking for ways to get a high end look for less, whether it’s shopping flash sales, frequenting retail stores that feature discounted designer goods, or transforming pieces I chance upon in a thrift store or on Craigslist.

When it comes to decorating your home, I know one thing to be true. Anyone can have a stylish home on a budget, no interior designer needed, no “to the trade” furnishings required. Much like you, I don’t want to compromise style or quality, but I don’t want to spend any more than I have to.

The most important thing is to pay attention and be aware. What inspires you? What trends do you welcome or reject? Knowing what makes you happy, what colors you respond to, and what style you favor most keeps you grounded in your purchases. Patience is also key, resisting any impulse buys, and purchasing only what your budget allows.

We all know one of the easiest and cheapest ways to bring color into the home is with paint. I can’t think of any color that doesn’t go with green, after all green partners with every hue in nature so why not in home decor too. Blues, pinks, yellows, and the color of the year orchid all look beautiful with green.

An alternative approach to paint is wallpaper, but a more affordable one is the use of a wall stencil – it’s a far more budget friendly way to achieve the look of wallpaper without the expense. This fern motif can be recreated with two slightly different green paints and a fern stencil applied to a wall in symmetrical repeat.

One of my most favorite ways to use green paint is with a painted piece of furniture as an accent in a space. These three examples show just how beautiful green paint can be!

I think critics of green too often associate the hue with the Crayola version. I don’t see green that way at all. I see green as a cool and sophisticated classic.

We see so much “lawn green” in our daily routine that when decorating it’s better to move away from those predictable shades and deepen the intensity of green to jade or emerald, or adding a dose of blue undertone, or going the other way and lightening with a few drops of white or gray. Even a yellow undertone is appealing, like we see in the moss that grows on mature oak trees. Bright lime greens are fun for summer, and more olive tones are inviting come fall.

I painted my kitchen island and walls, family room, and dining room a soft gray green in 2011 and I’ve never looked back. Years later, it still feels fresh just as much as these cabinets in this kitchen from House Beautiful.

I pulled out all my fan decks and the hundreds of paint samples inside my big basket I keep, my thoughts turning to walls and furniture and I narrowed down nine favorites. Picture them paired with polished chrome or antique brass lighting or hardware, stunning!

Fabrics are available at all price points, some boutique or high end designer patterns are *gulp* over $100 a yard. I’ve always got my eye on yardage that is $25 or less (preferably under $15) so I’ll shop the Waverly sales at Joann’s Fabrics or look to other online favorite fabric sources for discounts or deals, or hop on over to look at affordable sources for rugs too.

We all know how quickly emails can pile up in your inbox and how so many stores want access, but if there is a flash sale site, reputable coupon source, or retailer you really love, it does make sense to subscribe for discounts – I’ve saved 25-50% on fabrics and rugs just by skimming my personal email once a week and paying attention to those deals.

  1. I have a lot of green in my house! My living room sofa is green, my kitchen is a sage green (although it’s been this color for years and I’m in the mood to change it) and the kid’s bedrooms upstairs are a fun shade of yellowy green.

  2. I am a big fan of sage green. I have shades of green painted walls in my kitchen, bedroom, & upstairs common area.

  3. I love green. It is one of my favorite colors. I like a variety of greens and would have redone my living room with a deep emerald green if my husband liked green in the least. Since he doesn’t I have small splashes of green around the house.

  4. I have a bright fun “Lettuce” green in a half bath laundry room. Love it so much that even when we move I would consider painting a room in the new house that color

  5. Seafoam green, hands down. It is sprinkled everywhere in my home. Love.
    Thanks!

  6. Pantone emerald green! Last year was MY year. Painted antique dresser emerald green to use in nursery as changing table. Considering a brighter green for dining room hutch after reading your blog today!

  7. Any version of sage green is my favorite! My last bedroom was painted asparagus green and it was beautiful!

  8. My fav shade of green is that of the sweet potato vine. It is so fresh and beautiful!!.

  9. Green happens to be one if my all time fave colors. I dnt use it as much in home decor but after seeing this post I’m really reconsidering doing so. As always, great article, great pictures!

  10. I have mint green in my hallways and kitchen curtain panels that I made with various shades of green.

  11. Last summer I painted out eat-in kitchen table a lovely shade of green called Ball Game, from Behr. It really makes the room happy!

  12. We’ve done our master bath in a shade of green much like the Galapagos Green above, just a little more intense. Also, one wall of our vaulted great room is a rich olive. LOVE green!

  13. I love sage, mint green, blue green, and grey green. I plan to use it more but mostly just have accent pieces and a green sofa now.

  14. I’m a renter stuck with white walls so I use as much color as I can else where. I love green and have a lot of it in my home. Right now I’m digging a lime/grass green since it goes well with a lot the other colors I have – navy and white.

  15. I have a soft olive green in my dining room and my front entrance and hallway. Love green!

  16. I love the color green and have used it many times in my home decor with some great results and some that needed a do-over :) Green is the star of the show in the guest bath, my girl’s room, and my living room. I am really loving the muted greens like the pale clover color above.

  17. I love sage green! I’m actually sitting on my sage green sofa right now.

  18. I love green and use it as an accent in different rooms, mostly shades of mint as curtains and my kitchen aide mixer in the kitchen. I’m starting to really love the Kelly greens though so that may need to make an appearance in my home soon!

  19. Green is my favorite color! I prefer the lighter shades right now (apple/lime/acid). I was obsessed with mint green about 22 years ago as a teenager, so I haven’t jumped on that bandwagon as an adult. :)

  20. I’ve always loved green! When I was a teen (’70s) I had a bright green room with white furniture. I have a variety of shades of green in my lake house. I even have some green in my permanent home though they’re a little dark and need some updating. Winning some “green” would be great! :)

  21. I love grass green and lime green, but to pick a favorite green?? Oh, I just couldn’t… I love them all! :)

  22. I used BM Aganthus Green for my bathroom walls. It looks amazing against the white beadboard and subway tile. So country :)

  23. I love green–we chose green dresses for our upcoming wedding. I also spent forever finding the perfect pale green (it ended up being on a gray swatch) when I redid my bathroom for the walls.

  24. I love kelly green, it’s so bright and cheery! It reminds me of Ireland. I love bringing natural green into my home with houseplants and fresh flowers.

  25. Green is actually my favorite color and that of my husband as well. There are small touches of green in various shades throughout my home.

    Thank you for the opportunity.

  26. We have several rooms painted green in our house: the basement is a bright green galore (Stampin’ Up), the foyer is a softer moss green, my husband’s study is a deep dark forest green and our master bath is just freshly painted with a similar dark, rich earthy green!

  27. I’m loving Mint lately, in the home and in my wardrobe. It’s such a fresh springy color that can brighten up anyone’s day!

  28. I love emerald green, but find it too intense to live with inside the house. I’ve used softer mossy greens in my bedroom and am thinking about an olive for my laundry room.

  29. My old bedroom was painted empress grey (which was a mossy green.). Currently I have green Trina Turk pillows and jade lamp finials in bedroom.

    Thanks you for the opportunity.

  30. In my home, I love chartreus green paired with robin’s egg blue and orange in an otherwise all white kitchen.

  31. I love a bright avocado green (not the dingy 70s appliances variety)! I also love bringing in green into my home with plants!

  32. I’m longing to see any shade of green instead of snow, but my favorite is a moss green.

  33. I love green in my dining room! From a hutch that is painted green, to different shades of green accents on the table, a piece of furniture and even a large picture of an apple hanging over the buffet. Calming and beautiful..

  34. I’ve used green in several places of my home. My guest bathroom is a small green floral wallpaper. My sofa is a khaki green with yellow undertones and the floor of my screen porch off the kitchen is called Lehigh green by Benjamin Moore.

  35. My favourite green is a really pale grey green – I’m just starting to paint our powder room in this colour today.

  36. I haven’t met a green I don’t like! My living room is a sunny, east facing, apple green where I sit to sip my coffee and start my day.

  37. The only green in my house right now are sage green kitchen walls, but just yesterday I was thinking that a pretty Kelly green would be the perfect color for an entryway table. Now all I have to do is find a table and paint it!

  38. My favorite shade of green would be a kind of apple, maybe almost lime green? My kitchen has been a kind of mossy green for a while and I still really like it.

  39. I love a deep, dark green. A very traditional Forest green is my favorite. It compliments so many other colors. I love green glass and collect pieces to use as accents throughout my home.

  40. Green is my favorite color by far! Our bedroom is mint green, and there are green accents everywhere else. I love emerald and mint the most.

  41. I love green, but have only every used bright pops around my home…those some of these cabinetry pics are inspiring me to think bigger ;)

  42. I love a good kelly green, but I painted my kitchen Benjamin Moore’s Tequila Lime.

  43. I am really liking emerald green. I have an old emerald green glass vase that I use as a utensil holder next to my stove. It adds a pop of color to my very dated and neutral kitchen.

  44. I love green in all shades! If I have to pick just one shade though, it would be the color of a fern. (Why is it so hard to find fern colored fabric? I want throw pillows!)

  45. Hi Kate! Right now, my favorite shade of green is the first-burst-of-spring green, so fresh and vivid that you can feel it! I’m planning on re-painting my bedroom in neutrals and introducing that shade of green in accessories.

  46. I like several different shades of green, so that question is hard to answer. However, I currently have mint green in my bedroom as an accent color.

  47. I love the color green; however, I am not very courageous in the use of it in decorating. I once painted my daughter’s room a “spring green”. This was more her idea then mine. I tend to gravitate towards blues more often. After reading this post I am considering an accent piece in a deep Kelly green. I really like the color pallete in the pillows in house to home/better home and gardens and the greens and blues in the roman shades above it. I am thinking that I may work in a little green in the window coverings in my dining room. Thank you for the inspiration!

  48. My favorite has always been sea glass green. We did a mosaic glass tile backsplash in the kitchen and I love how it turned out.

  49. Hi Kate,
I love all things green, but the color Ming Jade spoke to me. We’ve had a huge chenille green sectional for almost 7 years and we still love it!
    Thanks for the post!

  50. I am getting ready to paint my front door a happy shade of citron. I think I’ve landed on “Frolic” by Sherman Williams. (*CP 16 Frolic SW 6703)

  51. Our kitchen/dining is painted Sherwin Williams Baize Green which I absolutely love! I was inspired by drapes I bought from Ikea which have large leaves in shades of green and teal with red accents that are on the patio doors in this area. This is my favorite room in our house and makes me so happy!

  52. Emerald green is my favorite color because it’s my birthstone, but I really love all shades. I like using subtle pops of green, especially in my living room to help brighten the space. I have a pretty green glass vase and small houseplant. Working on getting new throw pillows that have green so the prize today could help me buy them!

  53. I love Behr’s Botanical Green. I painted a small chest of drawers ($15.00! at GoodWill) to use in my bathroom. I am getting a sample of Munsell 10GY 3/4 after seeing a fabulous floor painted that color in Monticello (Southern Living, August 2013). What a great shade. Something like verdis-gris.!

  54. I’m happy for all of you winter-weary folks out there. Here in sunny Arizona near Phoenix, winter is the absolutely best time of the year to be here, and the only sadness about the calendar “first day of Spring” is that that 3-digit temps are not far behind. As far as green goes, love it! But my leaning is toward any green heading toward yellow – apple green, lime green or my current favorite find for the LR/office – citron window panels and some coordinating panels with citron and grey flowers on white background. (Of course, citron is really described as a shade of yellow with green and other pigments, but it works for me.) I’m unusually lucky to live in a greenbelt here in the desert so there’s grass and trees outside all windows all year long.

Have to laugh – of all the beautiful pictures above, my kitty Mei Mei is sitting here with me, looking at the one of the lovely white bowls filled with “pet grass” and asking me why all she gets is one small plastic pot with all that good stuff when I can find it.

  55. I love a good lime green. (Not neon, but certainly bold.) I like using it in small accents to bring life to a room!

  56. I love green of almost all shades and yes I do have green on my kitchen walls and hallway.

  57. My favorite shade of green is a chartreuse, followed by a blue green. I love the pop of color either of these give. I’ve actually used these colors more outside on my deck than inside, and have a chartreuse throw pillow that I just love on a settee out there. I guess green just makes me happy, and that’s a good thing!

  58. I LOVE the color honeydew green. We actually painted a wall in our living room honeydew, and the other 3 walls dark grey. It really brightened the room.

  59. I have a spring green coverlet and shams which I just pulled out and put on our bed — to herald in spring. Green plants, other accents.

  60. I don’t care for green very much at all. I am a nurse and I can tell you no one ill looks good in green pajamas. However, Benjamin Moore’s Soft Fern is a beautiful color I have used several times and I love it.

  61. Love the color! used it (don’t remember the paint name – it was a benjamin moore brand) as a accent wall with buttery yellow walls in the living room at one of the places we lived. We always enjoyed the fresh look. People always gave a thumbs up whenever they walked into the room.

  62. Mint..mint..mint! I love using a soft mint as an accent color…it just pairs so well with everything and is a nice pop of color without being over-the-top-in-your-face-bright! Keeping my fingers crossed on the giveaway :)

  63. i start getting an itch for greens in the spring, but since winter has been so long here in PA i’ve started earlier than usual! i bought more indoor plants and have them in many rooms, and of course my sunroom where it has been too cold to actually spend time in yet. thanks for offering this.

  64. Viva la verde! My whole house is accented with greens of one type or another including master bedroom carpet, living room, foyer, office room and one bathroom. I use lots of greenery at Christmas and also have special collections for the other three seasons in shades of green and nature-themed items for my bookcases flanking my fireplace in our living room. I love green! Thank you.

  65. Love your blog! Everytime I see your post in my inbox I am nosy which beautiful photos you will send. Green is great, looks very nice :)

  66. My room is painted Dutch Boy’s Storm Clouds. It looks a bit dark on the chip, but I love the color on the walls. It changes with the light but looks great regardless. Next time I’d have it color matched with a different brand, though – the color is great, but the paint was not.

  67. My favorite shade of green is an emerald green. I have a sofa close to an emerald green in my family room and its one of my favorite things in there!

  68. I few years ago, my home was filled with sage green. Now, houseplants are the only green in the house. I do love emerald green.

  69. Green is my favorite color so I love all shades. I have olive green sofas in my family room, as well as green accents throughout my home.

  70. I just sewed a pillow cover (using your zippered pillow cover instructions!) using a chartreuse green ikat fabric! I love that edgy color!

  71. I have always used various shades of green in my home and love it for its’ versatility. I’m currently enjoying collecting the lovely shade of jadeite for my kitchen.

  72. I have the most stunning moss green wingback claw-footed chair that I got reupholstered a few years ago. It grounds our family room of white, brown, and yellow. It is definitely our conversation piece, and as an antique, it should be!

  73. I love every shade of green! I used to mix it with gold and marroon but now I’m in a blue phase…green looks great with blue.

  74. Green has been my fav color for a long time ( althought blue is becoming a strong runner up) and I have it as a wall color in my kitchen/family room and well as a carpet in the dining room.

  75. My favorite color of green is Kelly green. I don’t have much green in my house, but this post is inspiring me to use some green!

  76. I love green, actually all shades of green. I use it as accent colors throughout my house, especially my bedroom has soft avocado green walls :) I can’t wait for spring!!!!!

  77. I think Kelly green is my favorite at the moment. I love to look outside my windows and see all the different shades of green in the landscape!

  78. I love green! Right now I am crushing on apple green, especially in the kitchen!

  79. I love green. One day, when I own a house, I want emerald green walls in my office.

  80. My favorite shade of green is emerald green, and I love using green as an accent color in my living room, e.g. the throw on my sofa.

  81. I painted the biggest room in my house a bright, spring-y green and I love it! It’s not for everyone but I think it’s fresh and fun. :)

  82. It would be nearly impossible for me to pick my favorite shade of green. I’ve got my office painted a mint green, and my husband’s office is a deep hunter green. I love how green is such a refreshing color. I never get tired of it!

  83. I love a more subtle green. Something with gray undertones. I use a lot of greens in our home.

  84. GREEN IS THE COLOR OF “LIFE”!
My favorite Color. HUNTER, GRASS , SAGE LIME ARE FEW OF MY FAV.
I have been considering painting my
    Living room a OLIVE/SAGE.
    Plans of kitchen
    Lime/ kelly.

  85. It suddenly dawned on me one day my favorite color is green. Everything I was drawn to had some shade of green in it. I now have green in the bedroom. Calming shade. Living in Minnesota, we don’t get green foliage very long so I bring it in with paint, plants and decor. Even at work!

  86. Green has always been my favorite color! We are in the middle of painting our master bath with Benjamin Moore’s Azores, which is a bolder color than I normally go with but has the perfect look of the ocean…green/blue. Loving it!

  87. I love green!!! In decor and clothes as well!! All shades of it, but currently seem to lean towards the springy yellow greens. Soft sage green is another fave.

  88. Who knew there were so many fabulous shades of green, I love that kitchen hutch from Better Homes and Gardens! My favorite shade that was trending big last year is mint. I have a lot of green plants in our house, does that count?!

  89. My favorite shade of green is a light, almost pastel shade. It’s bright and cheerful but not doesn’t remind me too much of an easter egg.

  90. I love green in a soft see-through glass color. Vintage green I would call it. I put soft glass green knobs on my kitchen cabinets which are painted bright white. The green color makes me smile every time they catch the light.

  91. Almost every room in my house has one shade or another. Bathroom: Turquoise and lime. Kitchen: a soft grey sage. Bedroom: Aqua. Living room: Lime green and blue. I try for a different palette but am always drawn back to green in one shade or another. It just keeps popping up all over my house.

  92. I’m lusting after several things you’ve brought to our attention (desk, campaign side table, etc) but I’m so apprehensive about ordering online with Target. Do you think it’s safe to do so?

  93. I used to be more of a teal or a mint girl but lately it’s kelly green and emerald calling my name!

  94. Green is my favorite color. I lean toward the pale greens like pale clover. My kitchen, dining room and living room all have some pale green in fabrics and accessories.

  95. My favorite green paint is Benjamin Forest Moss. I have one painted wall that color. Then I used that color to paint the glass on my table (the under side of the glass) and a book case.

  96. I’ve never painted anything green before, but these pictures are beautiful. It’s worth a try right?

  97. How have I used green to decorate? Plants, herbs, artificial plants in all shades of green!

  98. My favorite shade of green is the shade of that Target Threshold side table in your accessories list. I like to stop and look at it when I’m in the store. Our son’s bathroom is a similar color.

  99. I love all shades of green but especially mint. I even have a green sofa. Thanks for the giveaway!

  100. Favorite shade of green is one with some yellow in it because I prefer a warmer green in my house. My home office is painted in this shade (Benjamin Moore Gulliford Green) and it’s beautiful. When the sunlight hit it’s green yellow and at night it’s a cleaner green.

  101. We are in the process of redecorating our master bedroom in shades of green. Thank you for the inspiration.

  102. My favorite color is mint green! My mom and I redid a dresser and painted it green and it sits in my living room. :)

  103. Kelly green is my fresh favorite right now. I’m just loving the color on walls, furniture , accessories..all of it. I haven’t gone beyond the planning stage, but it’s coming. I’m thinking of it for the nursery as we don’t want to know the gender, but want to plan ahead. Loved these images. Thanks

  104. Kelly green is my favorite. I use green as an accent throughout my house, mainly via plants.

  105. I’m a big fan of green! We recently moved into our first home and we painted our open concept living/dining/kitchen/stairs green…I love it!

  107. I have two boys, for their bedrooms I made one blue and the other green. He has kelly green curtians, a green accent stripe around the room and other green accents in his bedding. I love the color green and looking for ways to bring more into my house.

  108. My favorite shade of green is Jade Green. Whether you paint a room or furniture it makes a statement in a room. It is also a fabulous color on most and not to mention how great Jade jewerly is with any outfit. Our master bedroom is a hunter green and the living room is more a sage-absolutely love green!

  109. Oh my goodness, I have never met a green i didn’t like! I think I love Kiwi right now because it pairs so well with the teal I am using in a room redo. I have clear greens with summer blue and poppy in the back foyer that leads to our back porch and yard and I have muddy, complicated green in our tropical master bath paired with white pedestal sink and beadboard tub surround.

  110. I love the color green in so many shades, but use variations of sage green throughout my home the most and it always feels so calming.

  111. I love many shades of green. My sister-in-law has joked that we can’t have a house without a green room. This house has 4. My favorite shade is probably a sage green, but it tends to be a little darker & brighter & more green than gray. It’s got to be green!

  112. I love an ocean blue/green – one that tips more to the green side like a greenish-aqua! I decorate with alot of ocean photos and nautical themes, so I have one wall that is that color. I also use it to accent in pillows and such.

  113. my favorite shade of green is grass green; i use the color as an accent with pillows in the living room; in the bathroom with soap dishes and hand towels; the bedroom with sheets.

My living room’s main color is green- rug, pillow accents, curtain panel accents, art, etc (with ivory and soft greys as the neutrals in the walls and furniture) Green makes me so happy! Thanks for the chance to win!

  122. Love green, but not sure I have a favorite. I have 2 little green flower vases from my grandma that I love to use in the spring.

  123. I adore a jade green. I stick with neutral walls in my home so I can go colorful in my accessories. You will find pops of green in every room.

  124. I like kelly green. It was the color of high school and I’ve loved it ever since.

  125. I love different kinds of greens but one that comes right now to my mind is Emerald green.
I have been decorating my home with green accents all over.

  126. My favorite shade of green is jungle green.
My twins’ bedroom has green and brown everywhere. It is jungle themed with monkeys. I have incorporated green with a backsplash wall of green paint (only one wall is painted green), the guest room is also green, white and brown. Our guest bathroom matches the green and brown theme.
Lastly, our half bath is green and blue. The green is more of a lime green in there. I never realized how much green I have: 4 rooms. lol.
    Thank you for the chance!

  127. Sage green for me. The color of my dining room walls and the scenery behind the windows.

  128. Right now I’m loving mint green, which I’ve used as accents in my new baby girl’s room!

  129. My favorite shade of green is in the Galapagos Green wheelhouse. I painted my son’s nursery with it when he was little. I loved it and would love have a room that color again.

  130. I like to use the color green in small doses – curtains, duvet covers, pillows, & rugs. I have green pillows on my sofa right now.

  131. I painted my office/sewing room Dill Pickle by Benjamin Moore and I love it!! It’s between a spring green and a sage green and really acts as a neutral.

  132. I love so many shades of green and actually have quite a few accents of it throughout our home. Spring green and emerald are probably my two tops. Our last house had a grass green shade called “Happy Camper” in a small hallway. It’s the only successful painting I’ve done with green as it usually comes out too minty for my tastes. Our living room sofa is actually a mossy green, but with the rest of our decor it reads like a neutral. Other than that, my boys’ rooms and our guest room have small touches of spring green.

  133. We have some green in almost every room in our house. My favorite is a shade called ‘guacamole,’ which we have two rooms painted in and have also painted furniture and accents (like the inside of our china cabinet) with. I also painted the insides of two doors that color to bring a little color into our neutral home.

  134. Seven years ago we painted our open concept home a green/grey colour.
I don’t recall the exact colour but I do know I still love it.

  135. I have always liked all shades of green, but lately the one that I seem to be seeking out in order to update my wardrobe for spring is MINT! It seems so current and it is being shown everywhere!

  136. I love Kelly and emerald green. Currently our coffee table is painted a very bright Kelly and I just love it. Plus I love houseplants to keep things green.

  137. I actually like two separate shades of green. Around the home (particularly for walls and sheets), I really love gray-greens. Actually, I’ve been trying to find something like the Agate Green you had a pic of for our bedroom (and maybe a shade or so lighter for the halls), so I’m going to have to stop by my local Sherwin Williams for a sample of that.

On the flip side, I adore bright greens – sort of like a vibrant lime, with a little more green than the traditional lime shade. I love the color for table linens, especially in the spring/summer, because it just pops. And it’s the shade we’re planning on using as one of our wedding colors, because it’s something that appeals both to me, and yet it masculine enough that it appeals to my fiance as well.

  138. While my first love is blue, green runs a close second! Right now I have a spring display of vintage blue and green glasses and vases in my kitchen. I also just impulsively bought a pillow.. multicolor watercolor drips on one side, Kelly green on the back! It’s a gorgeous reminder that spring is close. Even if it is snowing here on St. Patrick’s Day!

  139. My favorite shade of green is either a pale mint green or a bold emerald green. It just depends whether I’m looking for more of an impact or a neutral. Thanks for the giveaway!

  140. I love “garden”y green and lime green. When we built our house in the early ’90’s we put in hunter green countertops…we have changed them since then!

  141. Sage green is my favorite, with khaki green a close second. My kitchen is currently khaki green, and I have plans to paint my guest bedroom sage green this Spring. Green is such a peaceful color for me.

  142. our master bedroom is a beautiful soft shade of green with green/white sheer shades and green/white small stripe duvet cover. it’s such a peaceful room!

  143. I love a bright emerald green with leopard print. It looks great in fashion or a pillow pairing!

  144. I love the olive green shade of green. We have used it as an accent color in our living room. We have throw pillows, blankets and our rug has some of it running through it.
