Meanwhile, this living room makeover by Emily Henderson caught my eye this week, she is so talented at pulling a room together, I love the layers and cozy textiles, read about the transformation here.

Hi Kate: I always enjoy reading your posts. I have what may seem a silly question but here it is:
Where do you plug the lamps in when the furniture is placed well away from the walls?
Loved this weekend reading! Especially Forbes post and Edie”s…so inspiring and relevant.

Great question Wendy! Hiding that cord is always tricky when not near the wall outlet, there are a few clever solutions, most require securing the cords under the piece of furniture and rug. One thing I’ve noticed in hotels is that the planners thought ahead and placed outlets in the floor knowing the seating areas and floor lamps would be more centered in the room. That’s great thinking :)
Voted for you :)
Love this living room mostly the mid century Danish armchair and the pail pallet with accents of the green and blue
