Best of January

February 3, 2013

It’s always fun to take a look back at what occurred over a month’s time even if it blows right past you, which it did for me. Do you also let out a great big sigh when you turn the calendar to a new month?   It just passes by so fast…

Last year,  I rounded up a collection of favorite posts at the end of every month, so I’ll continue the tradition this year.  Here are the top ten not-to-miss posts from January.

We built some new bookcases for my office with IKEA pieces; my new 35mm 2.0 lens came with me on hike through Yosemite; I shared some thoughts on thrifting (what I look for and what I reject) and also some solutions for renters in the bedroom (tips for adding color, pattern, & personality).

Our French doors were painted with a shade of teal blue; here are several stylish ways to display black + white photographs; I stitched up a rainy day play tablecloth tent for the little ones; this interview with a magazine field scout and stylist gives a peek into the industry; my favorite berry superfood smoothie is now a regular breakfast food; and several bloggers shared their favorite organizational tricks

We finally finished the backsplash in our ongoing hall bathroom remodel over the weekend, I’ll snap some pics and share that on Monday!

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! That back splash is fabulous and I think I’ll do the same in my guest bathroom. Looks easy enough – but then you have a way of making all your projects look easy.

Did you do the tile floor in that bathroom too? If so, please share the floor project as well!

    Thanks for all the inspiration!!
