Weekly Wisdom: Live the Width
January 7, 2013
We celebrated a milestone birthday with a good friend over the weekend, it was an intimate crowd of 25 gathered together to celebrate our doctor friend’s 50th birthday. As our friend Brian stood to give a toast over dinner to thank his friends for coming, he started by reminding us he is a heart specialist and so many of his clients are elderly and looking at the last years of their life.
Brian shared that a common sentiment among his patients was that their biggest regret was not having spent time living life to the fullest, and how important it is to really live in the present, and fill your life with the laughter of friends and family.
The entire evening really was an expression of that principle, and we didn’t realize that six hours had passed so quickly between all of us because we had spent it talking and laughing and sharing good wine. So when I mentioned I wanted to start the week with encouragement, this was the quote that came to mind!
This week, I’m encouraging you all to “live the width” and live life to the fullest!

We also made progress on the new shelves in the office, I’ll be sharing that DIY project later this week and some pictures taken with my new 35 mm lens too!
