BOTB 3.18.12 + Reminder

By Kate Riley March 18, 2012

Hello everyone, hope your weekend is going well!  We’ve had off and on rain showers all weekend long which to me is just an excuse to sleep in to the sound of rain on the roof (one of my favorite things in life).  I finished up a fun DIY project yesterday and I’ll be posting about that tomorrow, but today how about a few inspiring projects from around the blogosphere?  Amanda contributed a few of her favorite links too, enjoy these sensational projects!

I’m smitten with this teal velvet tufted headboard by Stephanie at Cre8tive Designs, and the step by step explains her inventive pin and tuck style tufting, so smart!

Barn doors are a guaranteed way to add character to your home and this barn door by Lee and Ashli at Maillardville Manor is another great DIY example.

There’s no need to shop only the bath aisle for your next shower curtain when you have this tutorial on how to turn any curtain into a shower curtain by Jenna at SAS Interiors.

Inspired by a piece from Restoration Hardware, Amanda built an industrial-style coffee table and saved almost $800.  Visit The Ivy Cottage Blog for step-by-step instructions to make your own.

What do you get when you pair an antique tripod with an Anthropologie shade? Meaghan from for a song put the two together and came up with this tripod lamp.

I see a lot of vintage suitcases popping up at flea markets and thrift stores, but never have I ever envisioned them like these shelves thought up by Ki Nassauer.  Completely genius reinterpretation right?

  3. Thank you for featuring my headboard, I couldn’t of done the headboard without your tutorial on double welting Kate! You forgot to mention that :) My jaw is dropping on these BOBL! Thank goodness for the rain we are having, I now have an excuse to sit and read through all these great links!

  4. Ki is one of my favorites. I remember seeing her “shelves” when they appeared in the FMS mag in the fall. I love her style, and I LOVE that mid century modern dresser underneath.
