Hello everyone, today we’re bringing you another round of DIY favorites in our continuing Best of the Blogosphere series, and Amanda is back – we team up every two weeks to combine our most favorite projects from around the web, here they are!
You must see the Before and After shots of this master bathroom makeover at Jennasue. We love the pencil tile on the wall, the floating vanity, and the rustic wood mirror frames, what a refreshing change, bravo!
We love the medallion print on this upholstered twin headboard from Wendy at The Shabby Nest.
Jessie and her husband saved more than $1000 when they built their own Pottery Barn knock-off dining table. Visit Imperfectly Polished to see their step-by-step instructions.
We’re crazy about this stenciled floor over at Creek Bed Threads, and the kitchen reveal is pretty spectacular!
Here’s a smart idea from Dana Made It, stitch up some waterproof oilcloth slipcovers for barstools, fantastic if you’ve got kids, and what a perfect pattern too!
You can’t deny the beauty of these Marrakech inspired dipped vases made with IKEA ceramics, a simple DIY project with eye catching results.
Pinterest is quite the phenomenon right now, and if you’d like to learn all about it, visit Blogging with Amy and her ultimate list of Pinterest tips.
Did you hear? The Homies are back! It’s a ‘Best Of’ competition hosted by Apartment Therapy with several categories for best blogs, and this year they’ve added a new category: Best DIY Blog, love that.
Vote for your favorite right here (hey you can vote for me too!)
Thanks Amanda for helping me round up some of these amazing picks this week! You can catch up with Amanda at her blog Serenity Now.
See you all on Monday!

The bathroom is my favorite.
Almost every single one of those projects is on my list! How fantastic! Gotta get busy-isy!
Oh wow, thanks for including my bathroom!
My favorite is the Marrakech vases. So simple, yet so lovely. And her photo drew me right in.
Love the pictures I like the headboard and especially the floor.
Great choices! I didn’t know Ikea had vases like that. I will have to keep that one in mind – and the bathroom is stunning.
Love that chair!
Wow! All of those are fabulous DIY favorites! The bathroom makeover is gorgeous!
Kate, thank you for giving us some fun reading material today! I can’t wait to check out these blogs… There are few things I love more than a good before and after… :)
Hi Kate! Your post (and all the great responses) have inspired me to take a risk that I’ve been wanting to take for awhile. Can you point me to a great website(s) to find great fabrics? I’m leaning toward something contemporary with a bit of a vintage feel….
HI Annie, I’m a huge fan of both Tonic Living and Spoonflower, check them out!

Love the Pinterest tips. This is the best comprehensive resource I’ve seen yet.
That bathroom is such a show stopper! I’ve just finished my bathroom reno and used mosiac tiles as a feature down the middle of twin basins. Wish I had the money to mosiac the whole area like that!
Thanks so much for featuring my upholstered headboard!!!
Great features! Very creative inspiration!
Thanks,
Debbie
Love the bathroom and the painted floor! Great round up!

Shannon
Such amazing changes! I love that painted floor and the awesome chair!
I love the vintage dress photo’s above the upholstered headboard.
I love the bathroom, but it bothers me that we can see the reflection of the tips of the light fixtures in the mirrors. I probably only noticed this because my light fixture does the same thing in my bathroom and it bugs me. Am I the only one who has this weird fixation?? -.-,
I LOVED the article from Amy about Pinterest tips. Last night I actually started a collaborative Pinterest board called The SoHo Loft Project. It’s based on a picture of a great SoHo loft space I found — I thought it would be fun for pinners to be able to pin furniture, rugs, accessories, etc. that they think would make this space look fabulous, kind of like a collaborative mood board. If anyone would like to be able to pin to this board you can let me know your Pinterest handle by contacting me at [email protected] and I will add you to the list of contributors.
The ceramics from ikea are beautiful. I love the pop of color on them.
Wow thank you so much for showing my kitchen! I’m honored!
Oooh so many beautiful things this BOTB! I love the oilcloth chairs, the dipped bowl, and the pinterest tips were sure helpful!
Love the bathroom :)
