Waverly Fabric Giveaway

Hello and happy Friday everyone, I announced the winner of the Plush Pumpkins Giveaway here – the winner has been notified by email!  This weekend’s giveaway is another goodie, who couldn’t use some fabulous home decor fabric? 

Waverly has added so many more patterns and colors to their Modern Essentials line.  It’s a contemporary fabric collection featuring an array of modern prints in bright colors. The classic fabric designs consist of graphic and minimalistic motifs with contemporary influences.  The designs are bold, bright and elegant, featuring straight lines, geometric designs, and large motifs -they retail for $19.99 a yard at Joann’s.

  3. My next project on my sewing machine will be a dress and matching bow for my 3 year old Sabrina. I took her with me to the fabric store, explained what patterns were & thread, and she made the request for a dress. Right now. :) She wanted everything in there, but I think she’ll be very pleased with a wonderful Waverly Fabric dress! Now, let’s hope I can win! ;)

    Of course, this project won’t exactly meet her timing demand, but I will follow through for her. I promised. Thanks for this chance.

I actualy fell in love with some of these Waverly fabrics while I was at JoAnns a couple weeks ago & had to leave them behind because my budget couldn’t quite swing it :( We are presently in basement remodel mode (we should be in our space in about a week & a half) I have been feverishly trying to find curtains for my gray/yellow/beige themed space….love, love, love that fabric line…:) Think these fabrics would make fabulous curtains/pillows….I also think I could make a valance for my new closet out of those brighter patterns or cover the bench for my window seat…the possibilities are endless really!

  14. My husband and I just bought our first. We need fabric to reupholster the 6 dining room chairs we were just given. Previously we only had three chairs for our table that were actually bar stools cut down to size. The new chairs are covered with old dirty green fabric. I would love to win some fabric to start us off with this job!

  30. I live in a white-walled apartment, so textiles are the only way I can get big color in there. Five yards could do full length curtains for the curtain-less room, or new pillows for every room!

  35. I am loving the blue jay sunshine, but they are all so pretty. I plan to use it to help liven up my gray guest bedroom. The walls are gray, the bedding is gray, the carpet is gray-ish.   56. In my brand new house! That’s where I’d use some fabulous new fabric. For the first time, I will have my own space for an office where I will work and do my crafts…scrapbooking, photograpghy, ancestry projects, etc. I plan to build the whole room around the fabric I choose for a tufted bench that will sit in front of the bay windows overlooking the front yard. I’m thinking grays and purples!

  62. I just bought my very first home this year. As a young home owner, I’m fortunate that it is in good shape, but I would love to start making it mine! I’m on a tight budget all the time now and since all the walls are white, and my furniture (that I do have!) are basic colors as well, I need some color and pattern! With no curtains through the whole home, and a serious lack of color, I would love to make some different shaped throw pillows for the grey couch, and runner for the dining table, or maybe trim my pillow cases! I need color and I love Waverly fabric!

First is a Dorothy costume for my almost 4 year old for Halloween (I can’t pay $35 for a scratchy cheap costume when I can make her one she will be able to get so much more wear out of!) I have the curtains (plain blue) for the living room but wish to make a tall, simple valence to add a pop of color and draw the eye up towards the high ceilings. If there is left over fabric I could make some throw cushions as well. Maybe I could even order a matching color but different design for accent cushions too! I live on a small island in the Caribbean so the choice of fabrics in stores here is very limited and we cannot get Waverley fabrics except from the very expensive drapery manufacturers who will not sell the fabric unless they do the work. Would love, love, love to get the Americana fabrics as they are just enough fun and color to give the pop I need in the room of all wood and white and yet not too girly to upset my husband. We have a great stainless steel top on our dining room table, but the blond wood of the legs and chairs leave something to be desired, especially now that they will be resting on our brand new dark colored stranded bamboo floors.
