Hey Kate and Ali…thanks for the BOTB feature! Our electricity has been out for two days (nasty storms!) and I didn’t even know my door header molding had been featured until Traci emailed me and told me that she and I had been featured together! lol Thanks for including me!

I would like to add a couple of tips to the painted drapes idea. I did this several years ago for curtains in my girls’ room, but ran into a couple of problems. You need to be careful to make sure you get paint in every fiber, because if you don’t the light shines through the fabric in those spots and makes them appear unpainted. Also, these don’t wash well – the paint becomes crackled. Which may not have been an issue if I’d added something called acrylic fabric paint medium to my paint. Didn’t even know it existed back then, but I do now since I discovered the world of design and diy blogs :)
