Weekend greetings all, what are your plans? We’ve got family coming into town so we will be cranking up the BBQ and sampling some wines, also my favorite Antique Faire is this weekend so I’ll be browsing that too.

Sunshine!
My favorite thing about summer is grilling outside and dining al fresco and I also love going to Ravinia Festival. It’s a local out door concert place outside of Chicago. You bring in wine and food and just listen to the entertainment.
Mmmm, home-made ice cream while watching the kids play in the kiddie pool…nothing is more relaxing then that! (Maybe with a glass of wine or beer too)
My Favorite thing about summer is the availabilty of so many ripe vegetables/fruits. We can always get them all year long, but nothing tastes better than a fully sun ripened tomato.
My favorite thing about summer is the slower schedule. All the evening commitment things end for a couple of months.

Since I live in Arizona I don’t actually love summer all that much, so I’ll say the best thing about summer is going on vacation somewhere not as hot!

I always look forward to fresh cut grass, ripe cherry tomatoes off the vine, eating outdoors, walking with no shoes, that sense of fun right around the corner!
I can’t pick just one thing about summer. I love it all. I’d live in permanent summer if I could; I know they say you need winter to appreciate summer, but really, I appreciate it every moment of every day if I had it all year long! If I must, my absolute favorite thing about summer is dining on our deck. More light to play outside. No jackets. Flowers. The smell of the air after a storm. The beach. Sunshine. Glorious warmth. See, I can’t pick just one!
