Bathroom Q & A + GIVEAWAY!

By Kate Riley January 6, 2011

Thanks everyone!  Both Mia and I love the quick fix on yesterday’s budget bathroom makeover.  Be sure to check out all the links over there too, over 100 bathroom remodels from around the blogosphere, so inspiring!  I’m so ready to tackle my own hallway bath thanks to all of your ideas!

A few questions came up on Mia’s vanity so I’ll give the quick answers below.

bathroom cabinets after paint

new cabinet hardwarePaint color on the vanity: That rich espresso color is Valspar’s latex ‘Betsy Ross House Brown’ #6011-2 in the soft gloss Kitchen & Bath formula.  See yesterday’s post for the step by step application.

I’m still going to give the vanity one coat of Polycrylic for durability and easier wipedown.  The formula states it’s easy to scrub, but because this paint is a soft gloss in latex, I think it could use one more protective coat.

Hardware on the doors and drawers:  Atlas Alcott square knob and square pull, both in polished nickel.

.

Spray paint on the faucet handles: I highly recommend using an outdoor formula, designed to repel moisture.  These RustOleum metallic formulas are the most durable and work best for this project.   I love the ‘Matte Nickel’ !

Mirror frame by Mirrormate: That’s the Cherokee style in Dark Walnut.

1) Read the extremely clear instructions and check for all parts; 2) add glue to frame edges 3) secure together with inserts, hammer with mallet; 4) wait one hour, then apply to your mirror.

  1. Went to the Mirrormate site, and would love to win a frame of my own!! My favorite is Cherokee, and second is SoHo (depending on which bathroom I’d use it for) ;).

These last few posts were so inspiring. I am honestly going to copy this makeover exactly for my bathroom, as Mia’s color-scheme and style are very much like my own.

    Hope I win!

  2. I have a not so lovely contractor grade master bathroom. The mirror about the double sinks is just screaming for a beautiful, classic, white Pemaquid frame from MirrorMate.

  3. I like Cherokee in the java color and I would put it in my master bathroom. Love the makeover and thanks for the details!

  4. I have been talking about doing this forever, and never knew the company that sold these, so thank you for posting! I’d pick the Cherokee in Java. It would go in our one and only bathroom that has just the big plain rectangle like you had in your friend’s redo.

  5. I absolutely love the dark walnut cherokee frame that you have featured here. I have three bathrooms with mirrors that NEED to be framed out! What a great giveaway!!! Thanks for the opportunity!

  6. I love love love the Chelsea in Classic White…it would be clean, crisp and perfect for my kiddos bathroom which needs some love!

  7. I love the black Soho! Just what our master bathroom needs – I’m redoing the vanity this weekend!

  8. Oh my. I’m getting back to blogging at the right time. We are talking about how to do an affordable redo in our master bathroom. It has a white vanity and plain mirror. You have given me such great ideas!

As for frame choice, I think maybe Providence in silver.

  9. Yay! You have no idea how happy I am that you are doing a giveaway on one of these! I have been trying to leave a comment for the last hour and for some reason it is not working! so if this posts more than once I am sorry! I saw your post earlier today and went over to the website and I have been trying to convince my husband that we need one for all three bathrooms in our house. We bought a new home last year, but it was a spec home and everything in it was very basic and I have been wanting to put frames around the mirrors since we moved in. I love the Grandezza Style in Bronze. I hope I win! :) Thanks for hosting such a great giveaway! Your blog has truly inspired me since coming across it a few days ago!

  10. I loved the Cherokee style in dark walnut that you used. I’m dying to frame our mirror in the guest bathroom!

  11. Cherokee in Java, I’ve been eyeing that style for awhile to add to my builder’s grade mirror in the hallway bathroom.

  12. Java! I would use it in my Master Bath. I am about to re-do this bathroom, finally! The old owner loved flower stencils, and even stenciled on the mirror, so I have lots of work to do! I would love to win this give a way!

  13. I am loving your website. I would love to have the Cherokee in Dark Walnut. Keep all the design ideas coming!

  14. I would go with the Cherokee style in the Dark Walnut. Our guest bathroom terribly needs a makeover and I would love to do our large vanity mirror this way. Thanks for the chance, Kate! I loved your makeover on Mia’s bathroom!

  15. Downstairs guest bath DESPERATELY needs a Mirrormate frame! Soho in unfinished, I think! Happy New Year!

  16. I’d love the Pacifica in white for my home but what I’d really love is to be able to re-do my friend’s bathroom with the Cherokee. Your makeover would be awesome in her home!

  17. great giveaway! thanks!! I’d use it for masterbath (and the builders big block mirror) – Pemaquid Slim in Dark Cherry

  18. I’d go with Acadia in white. For my master bath. I’m actually about to start on it soon….when I get the energy!

  19. I would love the Chelsea in White for one of my guest baths. We have updated all of our 57 year old house except for the mirror in the guest bath, this would be perfect, thanks!

  20. It was this product that influenced me to consider, and purchase a quintessential suburban home last summer instead of a character-filled century home! Lots of nice choices too – what’s not to like about Broadway, although if those are backordered, I also admire the Pemaquid – both in silver.

  21. Oh, I think the Cherokee in cherry chocolate. I have three bathroom mirrors in desperate need of frames!

  22. Thanks for sharing this find with us. Love Mirrormate and am considering using it in my shop. Would love to give it a try first before sharing with my customers! My parents are redoing their master bathroom and pacifica in the white cap would be perfect!

  23. I would pick the Pemaquid Woods in Mahogany Burl. And it would go in my bathroom, of course!! hehe!

  24. I’d love Grandezza in aged silver for both of our bathrooms! But if I had to pick one, it would be our daughters/guest bath.

  25. My choice for our master bathrrom re-do (which is SOOO needed!!) Cherokee Java. Thanks for the AMAZING giveaway!!

  26. I’d go with the same Cherokee that you used for this project. It would go in the downstairs guest bathroom. This room also has the hideous two-toned hardware, so I am going to use the spray paint tip as well. Thanks for all the great, simple tricks!

  27. That turned out fantastic! I have been wanting to update my mirror, the Acadia style would be perfection.

  28. I LOVE Cherokee in cherry chocolate for our upstairs bathroom. I would paint my vanity the same color and add a fresh kelly green paint to the walls. Inspiring!

  29. I really like the Chelsea in Classic White for our guest bath. Would DEFINITELY spruce up that small space!

  30. I hopped over to the MirrorMate site and fell in LOVE with the Tribeca frame! It is gorgeous, beautiful texture! It would be going in the hall bathroom.

Thank you for the opportunity to win!

    Artful Blessings,
    Kathryn

  31. I love the Pemaquid in Porcelain White. It would be for our only bathroom that really needs a frame!!

  32. I think I’d have to go with the Cheeroke dark walnut…maybe in the slim, or the Soho in white. First I have to decide what color to paint the cabs! We plan to re-do our guest bath in the spring and this would be perfect to frame our current drab mirror.

  33. Ever since you posted the bathroom remodel yesterday I have wanted a mirrormate for my bathrooms! I hate the cheap stuff builders put in homes and mirrormates would spruce them up perfectly! I would just die of happiness if I won!

  34. I’m LOVING the Cherokee style. Dark Walnut is my favorite color with Espresso in a close second. It would go in our master bath. I *hate* our big ugly plain mirror.

  35. I love the acadia style… it would be perfect in the bathroom remodel my husband and I are doing for his parents.

  36. The Cherokee for our main bath! Woo hoo! I’ve been eying this for a while and would love give it a try!

  37. I would love the Pemaquid for our master bath – I’ve been eyeing this for some time!

  38. I love Tribeca, Portage and Cherokee! Not sure which one I would pick but it would go in our new master bathroom!

  39. My hubby and I want to redo our master bath…it’s sorely in need of some updating and the Mirror Mate would be a perfect start! I like the Cherokee for its clean lines and rich tones.

  40. Pemaquid!
In white…my girls 1927 bathroom could use a major update and this would surely help!
    Cheers!

  41. I like the Chelsea in Classic White for my Master Bathroom! Such a great Giveaway!

  42. I would love to have the pemaquid!
My daughters bathroom could use a major pick me up – this would surely help!

  43. I NEED this!! I would choose the Cherokee style for my upstairs bathroom. Thanks for the chance to win!

  44. I love the modern lines of the Soho. I wonder if it would work around my recessed medicine cabinet?

  45. Acadia dove white is what I’d choose for our guest bath. Thanks for introducing me to this product. I’d never heard of it before!

  46. Wow this would be an amazing giveaway to win for our main bathroom!
I would choose the broadway in brushed chrome :)

  47. I would love to see the traditional cherry Bellemeade in our master bathroom, I think it would look good with our cherry cabinets.

  48. This is amazing!!! I didn’t realize exactly that this was what you did. I have a question – how easy is it to get off? And can you reuse the frames if you move and they fit a mirror in your next home? I am asking because I am moving to Texas (Sat, in fact) and my boyfriend and I got a short term lease apartment for 6 months. It isn’t the best place in the world, but I am looking for ways to spruce it up while we live there so I don’t go bonkers, and the bathrooms are always the first room that makes me go ewwww in a less than ideal space. It looks like the frame applies directly to the mirror itself, not the wall, which might be good. What an amazing idea!!!

  49. I would totally get the Chelsea in the master bath. Of course…I’d have to buy another for the other mirror…but how worth it would that be? LOVE this!

  50. how fun! I love the gramercy martini…I think it would look gorgeous anywhere, but I’d love to save it for a future master bath

  51. I love the Cherokee frame–no nooks and crannies for dust to gather. What a great giveaway! We’re planning to do my daughter’s bathroom, which is original to this 1980s house, and almost identical to Mia’s.

  52. I’ve had my eye on MirrorMate frames for quite some time. I’m having a hard time envisioning which frame will look best with the oil rubbed bronze fixtures in my master bath…either Grandezza or Tribeca.

  53. I was leaning toward Cherokee as well, but then I saw Soho! What a neat product! My powder room mirror REALLY needs a makeover, but this baby’d be going in my ensuite bathroom so I could see it every morning. Thanks for the giveaway!

  54. I love the Cherokee in dark walnut, but the Soho in matte black is nice too. One of those for sure. It would go in my only bathroom – the mirror goes all the way up to the ceiling right now. I might change that before adding the frame =)

  55. I really like the Acadia style… my master bath looks very similar to the ‘before’ picture for this bathroom…I could definitely use some Mirror Mate magic there!

  56. What a great solution to my mirror problem!! Never heard of them before, so this is such a great find. I need one for my half-bath downstairs and I’m thinking that Cherokee or Tribeca might do the trick.

  57. I love the Cherokee in cherry chocolate! Our master bathroom def needs an update!

  58. I loooove the Cherokee in the chocolate cherry color… this is such a great idea…

  59. I live SOHO unfinished. I would finish it the same color as my trim. Please pick me; my bathroom mirror is discolored around the edges and this would hide that!

  60. I’m torn between Casco Bay in Black/Silver and Mediterra in glazed earth for my master bathroom. It’s one of the last rooms to be redone, and I can’t wait.

  61. I love the Cherokee – Java mirror frame! I would start with my master bath then do the kids bath. I love, love, love this idea. Your bathroom makeover was amazing!

  62. Doggone it…cat bumped my arm and I lost everything I’d just typed out…..on my phone! Anyway, I really dig the Cherokee slim in dark chocolate…also like the Pemaquid slim in dark cherry. So many beautiful styles and tones to choose from! We only have one bathroom in our house, and the vanity, mirror, and light fixture definitely all need help. The vanity is one of those 1970’s cheapy dark laminate things. Yep, it definitely needs help.

  63. I would go with the pemaquid in white for my hall/kids bathroom. It would be great in there!

  64. I have a hall bath……the one my 4 yr old twins use that needs updating!! I love shabby chic/romantic style……so, the Acadia frame in Dove White would be perfect for this space!! It would pull everything together!!

  65. First and foremost, I like the the Tribeca style and would like to use it to update my master bathroom mirror. My husband and I just purchased our first home and it came with those dreadful oak cabinets and a super plain mirror.

Out of curiosity, do you stain/paint the inside of the cabinetry as well? I’d like to attempt something similar in my own bathroom and think it would look weird to just do the outside faces. I’d love your input.

  66. I would have to go with Chelsea in my master bath but Tribeca in my half/guest bath. I’d love to do both but think its CRUCIAL that the guest bath be the best lookin’ one in the house! I mean, people just sit in there and stare at your stuff. Right? Maybe I’m alone on that. Its the first thing I painted and decorated when we moved into our new pad. Who (besides me and the hubs) ever goes in the master bath anyway (although I wouldn’t mind if it got swankified, too)?!?

  67. It’s hard to pick just one but I keep being drawn to the Cherokee style. It’s simple and classic. I would use it in my one and only bathroom!

  68. i would love the cherokee in walnut or cherry in the master bath but that would require two. so i’d settle for the pacifica white cap for my girls’ bathroom.

  69. The Acadia in White for my guest bathroom (which is in dire need of a makeover.)

  70. Wow those are nice looking frames. I would pick the Cherokee in Cherry Chocolate for my downstairs, guest bathroom.

  71. I love the Acadia in oiled Bronze. It is direly needed in our one and only bathroom in our house which has the most ugly standard mirror in it.

  72. ooh very pretty…makes a big difference! I really liked the permaquid slim in old world silver…but its a tough choice!!

  73. I actually have 5 – count ’em 5 – mirrors in my home that I would love to give the Mirrormate treatment (it’s an older home with vanity sinks in the bedrooms), but I think I would start with the Acadia Oiled Bronze in the powder room!

  74. Cherokee in Cherry Chocolate – it’s perfect for my master bath. Thanks for hosting such a great giveaway!!

    :)
    ButterYum

  75. I love the Permaquid Porcelain White. It would look fabulous in my master bath and would definitely inspire me to get the paint up on the walls that I bought last summer!!

    Thanks!

  76. Hi, my favorite frame is the Gramercy. I’d probably put it in the downstairs main bathroom.

  77. I’m having a hard time choosing between the Acadia in Oiled Bronze and the Pemaquid Wood in Walnut, but without a doubt, one of those would do a fabulous job dressing up the master bathroom. Ours is trapped in the 80s. Ick.

  78. We’re renovating our BR upstairs and I’d pick either the permaquid slim in gold or cherokee in espresso. Not sure yet!! Great giveaway though!!!

  79. I think the pemaquid in white would look great in our master bath dressing area!

  80. Love the Acadia in white!! Hope I win, just tweaked my guest bathroom (after being inspired by you!) and I’d love to do something in the master now :)

  81. Cherokee Cherry chocolate would look lovely in our hall bathroom makeover. Thank you

  82. The changes you made in this bathroom are SUPERB! I’ve been waiting to pull the trigger on Mirrormate’s Chelsea in Espresso for my master bath…maybe today is my lucky day!

  83. Love the Bellemeade. Our bathrooms so need makeovers. I also posted on facebook. :)

  84. Your friend is so lucky to have your help. The vanity looks great! I would love to transform my master bath mirror. I like the formal look of BelleMeade and the simple lines of Chelsea. I’ve go my fingers crossed.

  85. Love Pemaquid! This would be a gift for my mother but, before I got it up, I would redo the entire bathroom.

  86. Yay! Your comments are working! I tried last night and nada.

I liked Mirror Mate on FB under Jennifer Rogers Dixon. Fingers and toes crossed!

  87. I like the Chelsea in brushed bronze. I have had the sample for a while, but this does not fit into my tiny budget. I would love to have it for my master bathroom!

  88. I would love to have the SOHO frame in white. It would be perfect in our modern bathroom that is currently sans mirror.

  89. I like the pemaquid in black. It would be great to add this to the mirror in my kids bathroom.

  90. I also love the Cherokee style–great clean lines–in either chocolate cherry or dark walnut.

  91. WOW! What an amazing product. I had no idea something like this even existed! I’m thinking Cherokee very similiar to what you did for my downstairs bathroom.

  92. I would LOVE the Cherokee style, but I also love the vintagy-y looking silver frames. i think they soften the mirror up and make it look like fine art! I have a very large master bathroom to re-do and this is #1 on my list!

  93. I love the chelsea in espresso; it would look great in our builder-basic master! Great giveaway, thanks!

  94. I love the Tribeca and it would look great in my hall bathroom – that will be getting a makeover this year!

  95. I am big fan of the Cherokee’s simple and clean lines. We’ve wanted to purchase one for quite some time for our master bathroom, but unfortunately other more pressing home repairs have gotten in the way.

  96. If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, I’d choose Cherokee in Dark Walnut. This beautiful hue would perfectly match my shower curtain! Love it!

  97. I love the Venetian in white wave. It would be perfect for the mirror in my master bath. Everything is white and tan right now, but I plan to someday paint the walls a soft mint green.

  98. I love the Cherokee in Java and it’s a green products! Awesome! We had a pipe burst in our master bath and haven’t had money for a redo. Here’s hoping for the mirror to get this going. I have posted the giveaway on Facebook which also posts to Twitter and I liked Mirrormate.

  99. I’m thinking the Mediterra in Glazed Stone for my gigantic master bathroom mirror!

  100. Inspiring re-do! I’ve got some cabinets that may end up Betsy Ross Brown Before too long. :)

  101. I like the Broadway in brushed chrome! I have TWO bathrooms that need framed mirrors, the master and the hall bath. The master bath needs a ton of work that I hope to get accomplished this year, so every little bit helps! :)

  102. I like the Pacifica in Black Leather. Our guest bath needs a little color + new mirror and this frame would do the trick.

  103. I like the Cherokee best for my bathroom, it’s not my “favorite” but would certainly look best in my house.

  104. I love the Pacifica style and could really use a white one for my master bath :) Thanks so much for the chance!

  105. Definitely the Cherokee slim. I have a master bathroom that looks just like the before pics!

  106. Beautiful bathroom makeover, and you’ve inspired me to take on my own! Instantly gravitated to Portage in moonlight silver as the perfect update for the vanity in our master.

  107. I love the Chelsea in Espresso! I have two bathrooms that I am currently trying to work on. The first, is my daughters bathroom (she is 2) her expectations aren’t high but I would love to have it look great! I am even going to try and paint the vanity using the tips you provided. Keeping my fingers crossed that the winner could be me!

  108. Awesome giveaway! I think I’d do the Pacifica in white in my children’s bathroom. Hard to choose!

  109. I love this…and I would totally get the Chelsea Black Satin for my master bathroom…I have tried to DIY some things but it is hard since the mirror is held up with clips

  110. I would choose the Bellemeade frame in Vintage Silver for our master bedroom! What a great giveaway!

  111. I really love the ‘acadia’ style. Unfortunately, every bathroom in our house is unframed and I ironically just recently have been looking around for the most cost effective way to frame them. We recently re-painted and styled our half bath downstairs, so thats the mirror that would probably get this frame!

  112. I love the Venetian frame in silver wave. My downstairs bath is in desperate need of a remodel!

  113. I have been looking for a mirror for my master bathroom. I really like the Chelsea in Espresso! Love your site by the way!

  114. Ack! Per my comment yesterday, the frame you chose is *exactly* what I had been looking for for my bathroom! Cherokee style in dark walnut, it is!

(did that last sentence just sound like it was Yoda talking? Oy :))

Crossing my fingers – thanks for the awesome giveaway opportunity!

    Emily

  115. Since my bathroom is builder grade spectacular, I’d pick Cherokee in the same color as your redo! I like your look so much I’m stealing the paint color too!

  116. I just ordered a vanity from Lowes that I think the Cherokee would be perfect for. Unfortunately I have a ugly 1977 vanity with a stained top that paint wouldn’t even come close to helping :(

  117. I have been wanting to do this to ALL my mirrors, but first up would be my kids/guest bathroom. I like the “Soho” in Matte Black. THANKS!!!

  118. I like them all!! I think I would choose the same one you used on Mia’s bathroom – Cherokee in dark walnut. Beautiful!

  119. I absolutely love Chelsea in Espresso, but torn with the Cherokee in Dark Walnut. What a transformation this would make to my master bathroom. Thanks for offering this giveaway!!

  120. I think the bathroom makeover is fabulous! I have been searching for a good tutorial on how to paint oak cabinets so I will be bookmarking yours. If I could pick any frame from mirrormate I would pick Pemaquid in porcelain white for my girly half bath!

  121. I did the Cherokee in dark walnut as well. Super classy! Renting a duplex at the moment, but hoping to get into a house soon. Would LOVE to do a bathroom in this color!

  122. I would choose the Cherokee style in Dark Walnut for my Master Bathroom . . . I would have to order two for both of the vanities!

  123. I Love Mirrormate and don’t know which style yet because I’m building my house now! But the Master Bathroom will need SOMETHING to hide that Builder Mirror!!! already planning a mirrormate fix!

  124. LOVE the Permaquid in the old world silver….my bathroom would get it. Need to redo the hubby’s bathroom but dont quite has a vision for it yet

  125. Love the Grandezza in aged silver – I’m slowing working on glamming up our master bathroom from 1980s builder spec ick.

  126. Yes! I saw this yesterday and went to the site. I am looking for something exactly like this for my guest bathroom!! What a novel idea!!! I would put in the Pacifica….what a great way to force me to re-make my bathroom!

  127. I’d love Acadia in Dove White for my daughters’ bathroom. (I’d also love Cherokee in Java for my master bathroom!)

  128. Cherokee in Dark Walnut, please, for our master bathroom!! I was just looking at Mirror Mate the other day to find something for this giant mirror, but it’s a bit more than I’d like to spend. So I’m crossing my fingers that I’ll win!!

  129. This is so hard! I have two bathrooms (both recently remodeled by moi! and the husband), I’d pick the Chelsea in espresso for the main bath since the vanity has clean lines and ridges. However, our half bathroom is funky, decorated in black, white and yellow (in honor of Iowa Hawkeyes) and I’m planning on putting up antique football photos on the walls so I’d pick Naples in antique gold for that bathroom. I hope I win!! Thank you for hosting such a wonderful contest!

  130. Pemaquid in Porcelain White for the kids bathroom that has been in remodeling process for 2 1/2 years now!! Maybe this will motivate us to finish it :) Thanks for the opportunity ti win!!

  131. i WOULD DEFINITELY HAVE TO GO WITH THE “BROADWAY” STYLE. ITS SLEEK AND MODERN LOOKING AND JUST WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR IN MY BATHROOM REMODEL.

I HAVE 2 BATHROOMS THAT I AM GOING TO REDO (STILL IN THEIR 1963 STATE :( ) BUT I THINK I WILL DO THE HALL BATHROOM BEFORE THE MASTER BATHROOM SINCE MORE PEOPLE SEE THAT ROOM.

  132. i love the Grandezza style in ages silver. this antiqued silverish gold effect is the inspiration to most of my decor ideas. i would love it for my main floor bathroom which doesn’t have a medicine cabinet, so a big beautiful mirror is just the thing i need!

  133. hard to choose. portage in sand would look great in my main floor bath, but broadway in brushed chrome slim would go a long way to updating my master bath…

  134. I love Providence in Silver for my ensuite… I may need to order 2 of them for our his and her vanities!

  135. I’m torn…I love the Pacifica in silver sheen and the Cherokee in Java…but I would definitely choose one of those two :) We are working on a bathroom remodel and a MirrorMate would really improve the room!

  136. I actually like the style Cherokee AND the dark walnut color that was in yesterday’s post. I think MirrorMate would be an awesome excuse to RIP DOWN that nasty beast of a builders-grade mirror and hollywood light bulb strip that’s uglyfying my master bathroom.

  137. My main bathroom needs some desperate makeover work, as it hasn’t been updated since 1986: cream tiles with pink flowers on, honey-oak cabinets, vanity lighting over a huge wall-sized mirror and a shower-head that’s 4 feet off the floor to accomodate wheelchairs. I plan to redo it in greys, sea-foam green and white, with brushed nickel hardware – the Permaquid Old World Silver would match perfectly!

  138. Oooh! I found your blog by searching for ideas on updating my Master Bathroom. It is exactly as you described yours — the ho hum, non-upgraded builder’s choice and it needs prettifying. Not gonna lie — I’m copying your whole design and I would choose the dark walnut frame. Perfect!

  139. I like the Cherokee as well but I think my master bath would prefer the Java color! Ohhhh, I hope I win. My plain jane mirror coud desperately use a makeover as well.

  140. I would go with the Cherokee, in Java in my hall bath on our first floor. We have the builder grade mirrors and I have been trying to figure out what to do.

  141. My master bath could definitely use a mirrormate! I would choose the exact same one you used here, the Cherokee in Dark Walnut. It would coordinate with my master bedroom furniture perfectly. Thanks for the chance to win!

  142. Oooh, I’d have to go with the Cherokee, too! Either in Dark Walnut or Java. Our guest bathroom needs some help, and this would make such a difference. What a great giveaway!

  143. Cherokee Slim in Licorice is just what I need to finish off the mirror in my tiny powder room!

  144. I LOVE the Black Tribeca style! What a way to dress up my boring plain mirror in my main bathroom! Thanks for the chance to win!

  145. The Chelsea in Brushed Bronze would be perfect in my half bath. THe one that most everyone uses.

  146. The Pemaquid would look great in our master bath! I’ve been wanting one of these forever!

  147. MIRRORMATE ME!!! Pemaquid Slim is my choice of frame! My bathroom is UGLY, I need to be framed! Thanks!!

  148. Thanks for the giveaway, but it’s impossible to choose only one! For our dining room makeover, I would choose: the Bellemeade in Vintage Silver, the Grammercy in Martini, or the Grandezza in Aged Silver.

  149. I love the Acadia design in white or the Cherokee slim in the white washed look! Would be perfect for my large unframed mirror in my bathroom! Thanks!

  150. I like Pemaquid Woods in Mahogany Burl. It would go in my downstairs guest bath. What an awesome idea!

  151. I’ve been droooling over the MirrorMate and would dearly LOVE the dove white Acadia for our big bathroom!!

  152. I love Cherokee in the Dark Walnut color! My second floor bathroom needs a frame around the big mirror so badly! I hope I win! :)

  153. I love this idea! I would use mirror mate in our guest bath. The guest bath is upstairs and has a double vanity length mirror…it’s so over powering. Bellemeade Vintage Silver would be the perfect fix. Thanks for the giveaway!

  154. I want the Cherokee in Dark Walnut in my master bath. Would match my granite perfectly!

  155. I love the frame you chose, the Cherokee in Dark Walnut! I was planning on ordering it this weekend – now I might hold off until after the giveaway, just in case : )

Thanks for the giveaway CG and Mirrormate!

  156. I liked Mirrormate on Facebook!

I meant to mention…my Mirrormate (whether I win or buy it) will go in my master bathroom.

  157. I love the Grandezza — I’ve been wanting to do a makeover like this in the master bath since we moved in!

  158. I also really like the Cherokee but the broadway would look great in a streamlined bath.

  159. I love the Acadia white and it would help me perfectly cover the sad looking drywall around my bathroom mirror :)

  160. I love the Cherokee – and this would hands down go in MY bathroom!! (And I would certainly send photos!!

  161. My favorite frame is the tribeca for my naked mirror in my master bathroom… It would look fabulous!!!!!!

  162. My hall bath needs the Pemaquid Wood Mahogany Burl. Whoever chose the tile in 1986 had classic taste, but their knotty pine vanity had to go, and the mirror needs definition.

  163. Made my husband ( I of course was too busy picking out the style) measure the mirror the minute I clicked on the link! Soooo cool. He was immediately on board too. I liked the Cherokee but still trying o pick btwn dark walnut and java. LOVE IT! We have the same cabinets (awful) and hope to make them over as well. Great job!

  164. I love the Cherokee style in either Dark Walnut or Cherry Chocolate! Your vanity is almost identical to ours so I’m planning on this redo as well. It looks fantastic!

  165. I am in love with MirrorMate.
We are going to DIY our first project (game room bathroom from the 70’s) and I am going to copy your style exactly so I would choose the same frame-
    Cherokee in Dark Walnut.

    Thanks for the tips!

  166. I would love to frame my master bath mirror with Providence in Bronze. It would complete our makeover.

  167. I like the Cherokee or Tribecca! These are a great idea for a mirror upgrade!

  168. I am getting ready to redo my bathroom so this is perfect! I like Acadia in white.

  169. I’m rolling with the Cherokee in Dark Walnut. MirrorMate is perfect for my powder room.

  170. I love the Cherokee Slim in Cherry Chocolate. My husband and I are staging a condo that has been on the market for nine months. This frame, paired with a few new accessories, would transform our ho-hum bathroom into something much more sophisticated and hopefully catch the eye of a buyer. Thanks for the inspiring post!

  171. I love the same one you picked – Cherokee in the Dark Walnut. I think it would look great in our main bathroom.

  172. I like the Pacifica. (I like the Broadway, too, but it’s on backorder.) This would go in the only bathroom that still has a flat mirror – the guest bath that is outrageously girly – pink, white, and silver with a “Glam” theme. (Decorating help provided by my then-11-year-old niece.)

  173. Ohhh, I’d have to go with the Acadia or Bellemede – love the interest the design creates!

  174. I would go with the Cherokee. It would match well with my bedroom furniture style.

  175. Toss up between the soho or the Cherokee. Love the sleek look of both! You inspire me to do a redo of my tragic upstairs/kid bathroom

  176. Oh, that’s easy for me. I am not a “good visualizer” so I need to see it to believe it. And I believe in the one you used!!!! So Cherokee in Dark Walnut for me; probably would use it in the master bath.

  177. Ok, I’m seriously going to copy your entire idea and redo my master bathroom pronto! Well after I teach my son to sleep through the night, host a bridal shower, and the weather gets warmer! Seriously, I’m so excited and so inspired. Thank you! I really like the Cherokee frame you selected but the Chelsea (espresso) is a close second.

  178. I like the Cherokee Java but I also like the Naples Antique Silver.

This would be for the Master Bath. I want it to have a beach like feel when it’s all said and done. Maybe another choice would be better. hmmm……

    Love the idea!

Thanks for the chance to win!

  179. We need to do a mini reno in our master bath. I have never heard of Mirrormate before & I love it! I’d definitely go with the same one you had – Cherokee in Dark Walnut.

  180. I love the Broadway style from Mirrormate. What a cool idea! And I love that color on the vanity. Killer makeover!!

  181. I love the redo, it’s such a beautiful bathroom! And a great idea with the mirror frames! I’m loving the Permaquid Slim :)

  182. Love the MirrorMate! What a great product to update the bathroom. My downstairs bathroom has been begging for an update. The Tribeca burned brown frame looks fantastic!!

  183. Pacifica Silver Sheen would be my choice for the Master Bathroom. Fantastic product! Fingers crossed!

  184. I like the Cherokke in Dark Walnut. This will look good on our master’s bathroom whichi looks almost the same the the one in your make-over.

  185. re: my other comment, the only bathroom we have in our apartment gets it. :) I cannot wait to update the mirror that’s there!

  186. OMG the Bellemeade in Vintage Silver is 2DIE4!!!! Such a great idea! Thanks for sharing the tip…even if I don’t win anything I am definitely going to put this on my wish list for home improvements this year!

  187. I LOVE the Pemaquid style in porcelain white. This would be perfect for the master bath redo that my husband and I have been talking about but haven’t actually completed.

  188. I love the Pemaquid in Porcelain White for my master bath. I have a huge builder grade mirror in my master that covers two sinks and a countertop, but is off center because of the outlets on the one side and is making it very difficult for me to find replacement mirrors that I can center. This would definately fix the problem, plus my mirror is not glued on, but clipped on, and Mirror Mate takes this into account.

  189. Oh my master Bath could really use this. I really like that aged silver Grandezza.

  190. I love these! Just can’t afford them right now. But i would sure love to win Venetian Bronze Wave!

  191. Pacifica Brown Leather frame….LOVE, love, love! This frame would be perfect in my son’s bathroom. It would add such a nice masculine feel to it and this bare mirror needs this fab mirror! Plus this is my first ever attempt to win a prize on any blog! I’ll keep my fingers crossed that this frame can be part of my son’s bathroom makeover! Thanks, Paula

  192. OOOH! I’ve had Mirror Mates on my to-do list for a looonnggg time. I would love Grandezza in aged silver to cover the HUMONGOUS frameless mirror over my fireplace.

  193. I like the Bellemeade in traditional cherry. I have been wanting this stuff for my kid’s/guest bath! Thanks for hosting this!

  194. I would definitely pick the same! Cherokee in Dark Walnut. I am in love! And it would be for our Master Bath, which is going to be getting a major face lift this year.

  195. I’m in love with the Tribeca. It would look great in our downstairs bath and would really be easy to do. (One less worry with the remodel.)

  196. I love the Pemaquid in Old World Silver… it would go in my master bathroom!

  197. Easy peasy…Cherokee Cherry Chocolate; I am in love with dark woods. This would be perfect for the guest bath. I’m in the middle of planning a renovation for this space. It’s dark and cramped and the mirror…don’t even get me started on it. It’s hurdy gurdy and just a slab hanging on the wall; no detail or interest whatsoever. Thanks for the opportunity!

  198. Cherokee Style in Java!!! Love it. This would be for master bathroom. I’ve been wanting to do framed mirrors FOREVER!

  199. Have grown to dislike our overgrown mirror in our master bath, but never even thought of this option! Tough choice but probably would have to go with Grandezza!

    Thanks for the chance!

  200. Oh this is such an awesome concept and so many great designs too!
I would so select the Permaquid in Porcelain White for a new all white look in my main bathroom.

  201. I love this project and material – Mirror Mate is great! I like the Chelsea – Expresso frame. It would go in my master bathroom. I have this huge plain piece of mirror that I have also wanted to frame. It would be fantastic to win. Simply AJ – queenofmynest(at)gmail(dot)com

  202. We have a huge mirror in our master bath and after seeing your Mirrormate post last year, we had planned to order the Cherokee in dark walnut (we have dark cabinets too and that style was ideal in terms of color and clean lines). Because of the size of the mirror, we decided to wait so that we could save up for it.

  203. Would love this for my daughter’s bathroom that we are beginning a “light” remodel on: floor, paint, and new accessories. Your bathroom post could not have come at a better time. I may be re-painting her cabinets, shelves, and trim now also! I like the “Chelsea” in “black satin.” It would look great with the new flooring that I’m getting ready to order this weekend.

  204. I have “liked” on facebook. Thanks for letting us know about this great company and product. Simply AJ – queenofmynest(at)gmail(dot)com

  205. I am so inspired that this is going to be my next project, Thank You! I love the Permaquid in Silver!!!

  206. This is coming at the perfect time! We are just about to begin our master bathroom reno and were going to order a new mirror, but we could totally just get a Mirrormate to use with the existing mirror! Wonderful idea. I would have to go with the Cherokee in Java, to go with the vanity.

  207. This give away is really mindblowing…I’ve wanted this product FOR YEARS!!! I would choose the Chelsea style in the Brushed Bronze finish and add it to my children’s bathroom. It would be PERFECT! Thanks so much for this chance.

  208. I think I love the Grandezza (in aged silver)… though the Acadia (in oiled bronze) and Grammercy (in chardonnay or martini) are lovely, too. I would definitely put this in the downstairs powder room. Upgrading the guest and master bath mirrors would likely follow!!
    Thanks, Kate!!

    ~Em

  209. These would be perfect for the bathrooms in my house, and I’d buy at least three kits if I had the budget for it.

I’d pick the Chelsea in Espresso or the Pemaquid Wood in Mahogany Burl.

  210. I love the tribeca because of the textured look it has!!! I have been looking at these for a while now, but I havent had the courage to buy them because Im afraid they will never get hung up. Maybe this will give me the courage to do it!

  211. I love the Chelsea, it’s timeless. My guest bathroom could really use some love.

  212. I Love Broadway..Love the clean Lines, That is the look I want in my bathroom very clean and polishes and calm..

  213. I LOVE the Bellameade in Vintage silver! I am in the process of re-doing our master bath and it is in need of SERIOUS help! White walls and builder mirrors and fixtures (can I get a collective EEK!?!) I thought I had to buy a new mirror to get a traditional look, but this is perfect (and so easy) to achieve on a budget!!

  214. Oh I was in awww of those mirror mates when I read your blog yesterday! I love the cherokee, dark walnut. It would probably go in our bathroom…possibly my kids bathroom! What a great idea!

  215. Cherokee Slim in dark chocolate would be my pick! and I think the hall bath because guests would see it… but then again, we spend all our time in the master. Decissions! Decissions! Thanks for the chance to win!!!

  216. I love the cleans lines of the Broadway and Soho. I would put one of them in my quest bath, along with some beautiful mosaic tile!

  217. I like the Cherokee that you are showing. Simple, clean lines, would look great! I would put it in a friend’s bathroom, to fancy up their builder basic condo.

  218. What perfect timing! Our “man bathroom” in the basement needs an immediate update! I’m planning on painting it a super dark charcoal to combat the pink tile floor and the MirrorMate Broadway in Brushed Chrome would be phenomenal with all the chrome accents in the room!

  219. I LOVE the Pemaquid Slim in old world silver! I would definitely put that in my main floor powder room! Mirrormate is such a neat product!!

  220. I love the exact style you choose for the bathroom remodel though the broadway style is a close second. I would put it in the upstairs main bathroom. It was recently remodeled a couple of years ago and we just put in a plan mirror. i’ve always felt it need more. I think the contrast of the dark wood with my white vanity would be nice. Thanks for the chance!!

  221. I would choose Chelsea all the way! My master bath could really use a face lift. This would give me the kick in the pants to get going!

  222. I would select the Pemaquid in walnut to dress up the mirrors in our master bath. Of course, then I would need to refinish the cabinets, add a new rug, change the can light to a chandy…..

  223. I love the Cherokee in Java! It would look so good in my master bath and totally complete the other updates I’ve made to my 1980’s bath!

  224. Love the Mirrormate — especially the Cherokee in Java — would look great in my M.B.

  225. Oh wow! My mother in law has been eyeing these for her master bath. I would win the daughter in law of the year award if I won this for her!

  226. Mirrormate…never heard of it but what a great idea. Love the Providence in Oiled Bronze. Thanks!

  227. The cherry chocolate would go nice with my half bath vanity. I just looked at these yesterday after your post, and were a bit more than I wanted to spend. I would love to win one!

  228. The Pemaquid Woods would look good anywhere in our house, especially near the front door (where we hang up our coats).

  229. i love theCherokee in Java. my basement bathroom would get this since i’m finishing the basement now
    mychancetowin at gmail dot com

  230. I would choose the tribeca in burnished for the main bathroom in the house… it’s shared by two bedrooms and would look great with the pick-me-up!

  231. We are redoing our master bath and I would love to add a Cherokee frame in cherry chocolate-what a great idea!

  232. My favorite is the Naples frame although there are quite a few I love! I would put it in my Master Bath which currently has a building mirror above a double vanity sink- u.g.l.y!

  233. Oh my goodness I LOVE the Cherokee. This is a perfect solution to my mirror problem! Thank you so much

  234. Love the idea of these. I have been trying to find something to do with mine, and this is perfect. I like the Cherokee also, in the same finish for the master bath. I also would do it for my daughters bathroom that has dark browns and light blues. Thanks for the great idea and product.

  235. It is a toss up between the Acadia or Bellamade. It would be the downstair powder room, it needs an update badly. Since I am renting, this would be a perfect solution!

  236. i would want a mirrormate for our kid’s bathroom – one of the white frames – wither acaida or pemaquid!

  237. Pemaquid Woods in Canadian Walnut would work perfectly in our hall bathroom re-do scheduled for April! The huge beveled mirror is the only thing we are keeping – the rest has to be gutted due to water damage – the bathroom still has it’s original 1940’s tile. Time for an update!

  238. We have a bathroom very similar to the one you just made-over. So I would go with the Cherokee frame in a black frame!!

  239. At first I thought I would go for something more ornate, but after seeing Mia’s transformation I think she picked the exact right one, the Cherokee. Looks great with her refinished vani.ty. I would go with that one also. Such a great idea.

  240. I was seriously going to order one but I’ll wait and see if I win one first! I love the Soho in black and it will go in our master bath that we are updating right now!

  241. Yes, Cherokee Style in Dk. Walnut! Beauty and Simplicity together for my bathroom re-do, thanks to your inspiration!!!!!!!!!!!!

  242. I love the Cherokee – Dark Walnut or Java! I had no idea these were available! I hate the huge floating mirror in my master bathroom. It is actually the same layout as yours. Double sink, backsplash, same drawers and cabinets.

  243. I like Cherokee (Java) for Master Bathroom and Tribeca (Black) for guest bathroom. We have builder-frameless mirrors in each bathroom. I would love to do this!

  244. This was my favorite part of the makeover! I love the simple, clean lines of the Cherokee style. It would make all the difference in my master bath.

  245. I might choose Chelsea in either Pewter Bronze or Brushed Bronze, but it would be a hard decision! I’m bookmarking that site to show to my husband this weekend…I totally want to do this in our bathrooms!!

  246. Oh, I love the Venetian in White Wave or the black Tribeca. My master bath has got an ugly builder’s-grade mirror that could use an upgrade! This is a beautiful product.

  247. I like the Napels silver and the Bellemeade and Venetian. So many lovely choices!

  248. This is the giveaway my husband has been dying for! He’s been after me to frame the HUGE builder grade mirror in our kids’ bathroom. We’d LOVE to win the Soho frame in unfinished so we could paint it a fun color to match their bath. Thanks for the chance…fingers crossed!

  249. I like MirrorMate!

I think my favorite is Pacifica in Brown Leather. It would look so great in my hallway bath.

  250. Cherokee in Walnut! I’m planning a bathroom redo for my mom, this would be perfect.

  251. I love the Venetian in white for my main floor bathroom! What a great giveaway!

  252. OMG my girlfriend would LOVE the Cherokee Slim in Dark Chocolate!!!!

Please help, i have not been nice and she is tired of flowers :)

  253. My favorite frame is the Grandezza in either finish and could go in either our masterbath or our guest bathroom…both are in need of an update and I’ve had the idea of framing the mirrors for some time now…great idea!

  254. Who I can’t pick which white one for my master bathroom I’m going to redo! Acadia or Soho? So pretty! Thanks for the opportunity!

  255. What an exciting and timely giveaway! I’m a sucker for smooth lines, so I’d have to go for the Broadway or Soho. However, since the bathroom this would be going to is my Mom’s (I’m helping her update her laundry room), she’d probably like the Chelsea in white.

  256. I mentioned the giveaway on Facebook, and also “liked” MirrorMate on FB. Crossing my fingers for this one!

  257. I would love to finish my master with the Cherokee frame- just not quite sure which color- either the walnut or java…

  258. I’m loving the Soho and I’d “finish” it myself. I’ve had these guys in my “favorites” for a while now. Saving up for the FULL bathroom redo is taking a while.

  259. I like the Cherokee as well and have been eyeballing these forever for our full bath update.

  260. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! Our bathroom needs a major overhaul. Previous owners left us PINK carpet IN THE BATHROOM, grey tile around the toilet, cream shower, black and white tiles above the tower, oak cabinets, brass door pulls, a silver toilet paper holder, a bronze towel rack, a white sink and paintless walls….Seriously. We’ll be redoing that room first! I love the details of Pacifica in the black. That would really dress up my very sad bathroom!

  261. This post is exactly what I needed to get motivated to redo my bathroom! Thanks for all the tips! I love the Mirror Mate idea and will definitely be using this! I think Chelsea in Espresso is my favorite!

  262. I love the Pacifica in both Silver Sheen and the Brown Leather. My husband would love the brown leather in our master bath to add a touch of masculine sophistication.

  263. I would love to win this and would get one just like at Mia’s house – would be perfect with my tile. Thanks, Kate for setting this up!

  264. I would love to put the Cherokee style in my basement play room — we have a big mirror where my girls pretent to be ballerinas!

  265. I’m all about the Broadway in the Brushed Chrome Slim. It would go in my main bath that desperately needs some fixing up!

  266. Oh my – this one has my name written all over it! For my master, I love the Pemaquid, but the Tribeca is pretty cool! Thanks Kate!

  267. Oooooh Tribeca in brown is fantabulous! This would be a great update for our guest bathroom in need of some sprucing. Thanks so much for the giveaway.

  268. So many mirrors…..such a small chance!! I would choose the Permaquid in Porcelain White. It would be perfect in our master bathroom.

  269. I would totally get the Pemaquid in Black for my powder room, which currently has NO CHARACTER whatsoever, and I’d like to remedy that in the near future…

  270. Cherry Chocolate would look “Yummy” in my upstairs bathroom. I’ve been longing to do a makeover for years!

  271. My pick would be Providence in Silver, although there are a lot of them that I like. We only have one bathroom so that’s where it would go.

  272. This is easy because I have been coveting Tribeca in burnished brown for a year now!

  273. The second I saw your makeover yesterday I went straight to Mirrormate to check it out. My master bath has been *almost* fully updated, and a mirror frame would take it up 10 notches! I think Cherokee in Java would look best.

  274. The Chelsea Espresso would go into the master bathroom. We’ve lived here 7 years and I have yet to do anything with our bathroom. This would be a great reason to finally get it done!

  275. I like the pemaquid. It would be great for our planned-for-Summer 2011 bathroom remodels.

  276. I love the Pemaquid in Silver. I’ve been coveting these frames for all my bathrooms.

  277. I liked it on Facebook! I would LOVE to redo my guest/kid’s bathroom with the Cherokee Java. I have a couple of these mirrors in my house and can’t wait to redo them all with MirrorMate!

  278. In addition to using Cherokee Java in the bathroom, I have a kitchen mirror (I know, who puts a mirrored wall in a kitchen?!) that could use a little sprucing by way of Cherokee Slim in Nougat. SO Pretty!!

  279. “Broadway” would definitely add more glamour to my mid-century pink and grey tile in our main bathroom! I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

  280. So many to choose from….what a great giveaway…thank you…

I think I like the Chelsea in black…

    All the best,
    Kathy :)

  281. I would choose pemaquid in silver for the new bathroom we are currently building!

  282. Our main floor powder room has a big old mirror just begging for a Cherokee Cherry Chocolate frame. Thanks for the chance!

  283. Chelsea in Espresso is my favorite! I’d put it up in our powder room/laundry room on the main floor. I am so tired of the ugly builder-grade mirror that’s in there. A Mirrormate is exactly what I need!

  284. I LOVE THIS!!! I would pick whatever is closest to the one you used… Cherokee in brushed chrome… it doesn’t look like they offer that one anymore. My bathroom re-do would be complete with this!

  285. Broadway brushed chrome baby! It’s a toss-up between the master bath and the kids bathroom, but since the kids are barely tall enough to see their mirror yet, we’ll let the master win this battle.

  286. I would pick whatever is closest to the one you used… Cherokee in brushed chrome… it doesn’t look like they offer that one anymore. My bathroom re-do would be complete with this!

  287. I love the Naples collection! And it would sooo go in my Master bathroom, which right now, is oh so builder basic! I have been dreaming of DIY re-doing my Master bathroom for years! And ever since you posted your bathroom re-do with Mirrormate I’ve been fantasizing how my bath would look with mirrormate. Thanks for sharing!
I liked “mirrormate on FB & posted a comment.

  288. Torn between Broadway and Soho. I would use it for my guest bath that desperately needs something for the unadorned mirror stuck to the wall.

  289. Pacifica SIlver! I so want to try this in our main bathroom-I have the paint for th wall-Hopsack from Sherwin Williams-dark beige. I just can’t decide whether to paint the vanity white or dark….Decisions!

  290. I love the Grandezza Aged Silver. Would love to put it in our master bath. I would then use Naples in Antique Silver in our second bath. Love, love, love this product!

  291. I like the Cherokee and my master bathroom desperately needs one. I had never heard of this product, but it is GENIUS!

  292. Cherokee Slim in Dark Chocolate, please! It will be going in our newly-built house’s master bath — right now we have those clear clips that builders put up! Can’t wait to fancy up our new bathroom!

  293. Love the clean lines of the Cherokee frame. I think it would go wonderfully with the simple zen-like space I’m attempting to create in our master bath! Thanks for the opportunity!

  294. Cherokee in Dark Walnut for my master bathroom. That mirror could really use an update!

  295. Definitely Cherokee in Dark Walnut, just like you used! I would use it in my Master Bath and would purchase a second one to match since we have two mirrors in that room. I love, love, love what you did in the bathroom remodel and it’s seriously got me thinking about what I’ll do!

  296. I would love the Pemaquid in white! Thank you for all of your great information!
    Shelly

  297. I choose Pemaquid in River Rock for our Main/Hall bath. If I can remember right, it’s the same one I would have chosen at your last Mirror Mate giveaway. ;)

  298. I love the Cherokee one that you used! I’m actually repainting our kids/guest bath this weekend, and would LOVE to replace the large builder’s grade mirror, but I fear it is not only clipped to the wall, but also glued down. So…the husband is refusing me permission to take it down. That frame would make it look SO much better!

  299. I would have to have the oiled brushed bronze. My bathroom desperately needs it! If anyone of you guys saw my bathroom you would cry.

  300. I love the Cherokee Java … it would look great in my master bath! I had just looked at them online after seeing your last post. Thanks for the opportunity!

  301. I also love the cherokee in dark walnut– i did an almost identical facelift in my kids’ bathroom, but the mirror needs some help!

  302. Some many beautiful choices. I’d have to select providence for my master bath.

  303. Like Pemaquid, but love Cherokee…have a mirror sitting in my garage waiting to look pretty.

  304. Love the Grandezza in aged silver. Would be perfect for my main upstairs bathroom! Thanks!

  305. I LOVE THE BELLEMEADE—and it would be a knockout in my master bath! Love all your fun ideas (and appreciate your hard work!).

  306. I love the mirror you chose, that’s the one I’d like. Cherokee style in walnut!

  307. And I’d pick the cherokee in java for my upstairs bath, but I’d probably need another one since there are two mirrors in there and they are ginormous. C’mon mirrormate, help a girl out!!

  308. I love the Cherokee style that you used. I would probably go with the Cherry Chocolate though. My master bath could REALLY use an update. This would be the perfect thing!

  309. I would choose the Pacifica White Cap for my master bath. We have been in our home for 9 years and it still has the plain old contractor mirror. This would add a lot to the room!

  310. Oooh, I need one of these for our master bath. I think I like the Naples in antique silver.

  311. I would choose the cherokee – either dark walnut or java for a desperately needed update in our only bathroom!!!

  312. I am in love with bellameade traditional cherry. I have a nearly identical bathroom to the one in the blog post. I think this might be my first project in the new house!

  313. I would love the Cherokee in dark walnut for my upstairs bath-it is in desperate need of a face lift!

  314. I would love the cherokee in cherry chocolate. I have a mirror that has been waiting on a makeover!!

  315. Thank you for answering our questions!

I’m torn between the Chelsea and Cherokee styles…love them both! I would love to eventually frame both the master bathroom and guest bathroom mirrors, but will do the master first.

  316. I super love the Pemaquid in white, and it would look great in the hall bathroom I’ve been struggling to redo!!!

  317. This is exactly what I need for my boring bathroom – love Cherokee Java. I just know this one thing would make a big difference

  318. i would pick broadway brushed chrome for our one and only bathroom. i like our bathroom but that would transform into a bathroom that i love!

  319. oooh! ooooh! I love the dark walnut. I just closed on my house TODAY!!! and would love to be able to spruce up my master bath mirror with this. It would look just like Mia’s bathroom, minus the beautiful cabinets (but that’s soon to come too). Please pick me !!!

  320. I would choose the “Soho” in black for our guest bathroom. It is in need of a makeover…oak cabinets, large plain mirror, Hollywood lights…

  321. I love your blogs and have done several of the projects, but I’m loving this bathroom makeover! I LOVE the tribeca in Burnished Brown. It would go great in my mom’s master bathroom (Yes, I’m re-doing her house because I think she deserves a cute bathroom!).

  322. p.s. I put this on my facebook and “liked” MirrorMate’s page (also leaving the comment on their page.) Thanks for the opportunity :)

  323. Ah, MirrorMate. The Pemaquid in Old World Silver wants to live in my guest bathroom.

  324. Grandezza in Bronze = LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Building a new house and I’ve been on the look out for a mirror for the master bath!

  325. Oh, I would love to have MirrorMate in my bathroom!!! Grandezza in Aged Silver would be perfect!

  326. Oh man, I’ve been dreaming of getting one of my mirrors framed in Cherokee Style in Java color for a long time…. I can see it in my dreams!

  327. Our master bath could use some shine – Broadway in Brushed Chrome Slim would be perfect!

  328. Acadia would be my choice! It would be AMAZING in the bathroom I’m planning to re-do!

  329. I would replace my master bathroom mirror – these are beautiful – it is hard to choose, they are all so beautiful. I like the Pacifica, I would try to match my cabinet!

  330. My master bath is screaming for this trim on our large ugly mirror. I would choose Peraquid Slim Line in Dark Bronze.

  331. We are planning to do a facelift to our master in 2011, and we want to use MirrorMate. The lightswitch plate is on the mirror, and really close to the door moulding, so I think Cherokee Slim in Dark Chocolate would be perfect.

  332. I would order 3 samples to make sure, but two of the samples would be the Martini and the Grandezza and I would redo my master bedroom mirror!

  333. My masterbath needs a little re-do and Grandezza in Aged Silver would look amazing! Just purchased a beautiful Martha Stewart fixture; a mirror frame would be icing on the cake!

  334. Cherokee Slim! I like it simple, and simplicity is what we desperately need in our outdated master bath.

  335. Eek! I have been wanting to do this to our bathroom mirror for a long time! I like the Chelsea in white! I never enter giveaways, but I had to try this one! :)

  336. I love the Grandessa in Aged Silver. It would be so nice to do my bathroom mirror!!

  337. I linked this on my Facebook page and liked it on Facebook. MirrorMate really is cool!!

  338. Would I be cheating if I said my favorite was the Cherokee style in Dark Walnut? We have a lot of dark walnut in our house and it would fit in so nicely.

  339. So hard to choose… I would probably choose the Acadia style for our master bathroom. Thanks!

  340. I’ve been drooling over mirror mate since your original bathroom post. I’d love the Chelsea in Espresso in my master bath.

  341. I love the Cherokee in Dark Walnut that you used! We bought a foreclosed home and there is much work to be done in the only bathroom. I’m hoping to paint the existing (ugly) vanity in an espresso color-thank you for the paint tip!

  342. My favorite style is the Chelsea or Cherokee! I still have a builder basic big honkin’ mirror hung up by those little clips in my guest bath.

  343. My favorite choice is either the Cherokee or Chelsea .. lots of great options! :-) Definitely for our Master … ours looks just like the one you redid .. but we need a new countertop as well.

  344. I would love Pemaquid in porcelain white for my hall bath. It would add the perfect touch to that big builder mirror in there.

  345. It was a hard decision, but I think I’d go with the Pemaquid in Old World Silver for my master bath mirror. If I won this, the timing would be perfect since that room is getting a makeover in the spring. :)

  346. I really like Broadway! Modern and simple! We only have one bathroom so it would go in there:)

  347. I love the cherokee style in the Java and would be perfect in my Master Bathroom. With white cabinets and white countertop and light taupe walls… it is really bland and could use some help!

  348. I love the Cherokee in Dark Walnut or the Pemaquid in Mahogany Burl wood. These would look amazing in my guest bath (and future baby’s bathroom). I’m crossing my fingers!!

  349. I would die to have the Pemaquid porcelain white in my master bath! It would definetly be an upgrade from the builder grade fixtures in there now!

  350. Chelsea in Expresso!….The Cherokee is pretty, too!….My master bath looks very similar to the before pictures.

  351. Bellemeade in Traditional Cherry would be just the thing to go with the refinished vanity in our master bath!

  352. I love the Broadway Frame, our master bath definitely needs an upgrade, and disguising the builder mirror would be a great start!

  353. Love the Permaquid Woods in Mahogany Burl! Perfect for the plain ol’ mirror in our guest bath!! Thanks CG!

  354. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! I didn’t even know about Mirrormate. I love Cherokee Slim!

  355. Love the Chelsea espresso for my master bath.

  356. Cherokee in Java for the master bathroom. Thanks for posting the step-by-step instructions!

  357. The Pacifica in the White Cap color would start me on my own bathroom re-do. Thanks to you and the Mirrormate people for a wonderful giveaway!

  358. I would like the Acadia in Dove White for our guest bathroom! It’s a elegant and chic!

  359. The cherokee is the model I would pick, but it is a hard decision as they are all beautiful!

  360. I think that the Cherokee in Dark Walnut is perfect! I love it in your friends bathroom and I would love it even more in mine!

  361. I think Chelsea in the bronze is really interesting and classic at the same time. For sure in the front bath (which is currently a riot of 50s pinky-browns)

  362. I’m kind of torn between the java and the matte black. Would be perfect for my master bath.

  363. I would love the MirrorMate Cherokee style in the Dark Walnut. Winning this would be just the incentive to get my Darling Husband to finish our master bath makeover!

  364. I’m actually loving the one that you used, Cherokee in either Java or Dark Walnut. And this would definitely go in my master bathroom, I have a HUGE plain mirror in there right now!

  365. Soho in matte black. I have a Kandinsky print and a figure drawing on the walls and it would totally lend to the modern vibe of the main bath.

  366. Just bought a house so the Venetian in Silver Wave for either one of the bathrooms would be great.

  367. I love the Bellemeade in Vintage Silver! I can just see it in our brand new master bath…Just Perfect!

  368. I have seen these mirror frames a few times now in blogland and would love to try one. I’d love to try Pacifica in silver sheen or the Venetian in sliver wave for my mirror in the master bathroom.

  369. I love the Pemaquid style in Old World Silver. I would actually gift this to my mom – her bathroom mirror is in major need of a revamp…she even has the same vanity lights that you showed in Mia’s before. The sad thing is that she actually LIKES them!

  370. Ohhhh…I’ve been stalking the cherokee (master bath reno) for awhile and now to see it in action I am thinking that the dark walnut would be the perfect color (think the Java may be too ‘grainy’) I wish they did the SoHo in the dark walnut…

  371. i love the cherokee style and would use it in my kids bathroom that has the ugly builder grade plain mirror in it

  372. While there are MANY styles I like, I would go with the Venetian style in “white wave” for the color. I am changing the guest bath from the typical builder bath to a bath with a soft, beachy theme. Sounds kind of crazy but the pciture in my mind is quite lovely.

  373. I’m dreaming of the Pemaquid in black. I recently painted my vanity black and this would be the icing on the cake for my builder grade mirror!

  374. OMG, great giveaway! I’ve been wanting to frame out the mirror in our master bath, like, for-EVER! I would choose the Venetian style in “White Wave”, because it seems to match the feel of my bathroom perfectly!

  375. I would love a Mirrormate in Cherokee, like yours, in Java. I’d update my powder room !

  376. I think Bellemeade would be lovely in my Master bath . I have an older home with some of the original features , two of which are very large unframed mirrors in the Master and Guest bathrooms.

  377. I really like either Chelsea in espresso, or Cherokee in either java or dark walnut color, for my upstairs bathroom.

  378. That is such a hard pick! I’d probably order a couple samples before deciding for sure…but if it was in our Master bath, I’d pick Acadia or Chelsea in the bronze finishes. For the extra bath, I’d choose Broadway in brushed chrome – gorgeous!

  379. I’m not really usually a modern/contemporary kind of gal, but I really *LOVE* the soho in the unfinished color…it would be super amazing in our master bath, we have a huge and un-framed mirror that is so BORING. It definitely needs the spice. (c:

  380. I like the Venetian in Bronze Wave. I definitely need it in my master bath (and in the guest bath!)
Along with a paint job on our wood, this mirror frame would kickstart a spectacular transformation!

  381. I like the SOHO in black (or white) its the frame style i like the most. Its plain yet has some detailing in the height of the frame.

  382. oh! Fingers crossed… I like the burnished brown tribeca. I would love to see that in my very plain builders grade master bathroom. thank you for the chance to win!

  383. On the verge of updating our builder’s grade bathrooms mirrors, and admiring the Cherokee in Dark Walnut for the master bath. I will keep my fingers crossed! Thanks!

  384. I love the broadway in brushed chrome… I just painted my blah builders grade bathroom silver sage and have been contimplating how to add a frame to the mirror. MirrorMate would be perfect! Thanks for sharing!

  385. Chelsea in Espresso. Although I really need a round frame. Thanks for the intro to this site.
    And thanks for the giveaway!

  386. The Cherokee pattern would look awesome in my master bath. Great giveaway and hope I win!

  387. Love the pemaquid slim frame in ORB…would really finish my tiny (about 3×6 ft) powder room. I’ve just repainted and the mirror is one of those big builder mirrors — which is good in a tiny room, but kind of boring. Love your blog.

  388. I really hope to win this for my wife. We are in the process of giving our master bedroom and bath a major overhaul. Our budget did not stretch as far as we had originally planned and this would help out a ton. She has been very patient with the process and I would love to win this for her. We like the Bellemeade in Vintage Silver.

  389. I love the Soho mirror frame! I’ve been wanting to replace my large bare mirrors with framed ones but this would be SOHO much easier and would look fantastic. Keeping my fingers crossed!

  390. Gramercy in Chardonnay for the master bedroom dressing area/bathroom–it would transform the room and tie in with the furniture and bedding! I’m so glad to find out about MirrorMate–thank you!

  391. I love the cherokee in dark chocolate. It would go in my master which is in a sore need of a redo!

  392. I love the Cherokee in Dark Walnut too. We could REALLY use this in our master bath. Our mirror is aging and leaving those spots on the outside corners. :)

  393. I like the simplicity of the Cherokee style. It would be perfect in the “contemporary” style that I am redoing my son’s bathroom in.

  394. Cherokee in Dark Walnut (am planning to paint my bathroom vanity a similar color as your update).

  395. I believe I would go with the Cherry Chocolate Cherokee. It would would great in my master bath with our cherry cabinets!

  396. What a great idea and an amazing transformation! Wow. I would love to see the pemaquid in porcelain white. It would look terrific in our basement bathroom and definitely be a step up from the basic builder grade mirrors we all know (and loathe!)

  397. I’ve been thinking about doing Mirrormate for our bathroom! I would go with Cherokee in dark walnut as well.

  398. I have a perfect bathroom for a Mirrormate…I am so thrilled to learn about this product!!!!!: The Cherokee style in Dark Walnut would be perfect. My husband will LOVE that he doesn’t need to hang a new mirror!

  399. Cherokee in Dark Walnut to give to my Mother who is in the middle of her master bath re-do right now!

  400. Hi,
I’m one of your newest followers. I love the cabinet style in the bathroom. Any idea where I could find one similar? Thank you. Jackie Hale
PS..I also have a baking blog, if you want to swing by and chk it out.

  401. We were just researching MirrorMate over the weekend – our master bathroom mirror is in desperate need of a makeover! I’d have to go with Pemaquid in white.

  402. I would go with Cherokee in Dark Walnut too. I just finished the bulk of a DIY bathroom remodel and have been living in a bathroom without a mirror for a couple months. This would be perfect!

  403. I think that I’ll need to go with the Cherokee frame in the same color that you used in Mia’s bathroom. I updated my hall bath last year and now need to finish the job and paint the vanity. Thanks for the tips and I do like the color that you used.

  404. LOVE the Mediterra in Glazed Earth for the previous Master Bedroom upstairs that is now turned into a guest suite for all our friends and family to stay in while visiting. Right now my daughter, her husband, and her f3 children are staying in while they try to sell their house and get back on their feet from my son-in-law being downsized. I remodeled the bath to a wharf worn look and the plain plate mirror could REALLY use this!

  405. love the Cherokee dark walnut….wanted sth like this for all the bathrooms in my new old home

  406. I like the tribeca. Just bought a new house that needs some TLC! I really like the color on Mia’s vanity :)

  407. Oh, I forgot to say the bathroom lol I like the tribeca and plan to use it in the master bathroom.

  408. OMG! I seriously love you right now! My hall bath looks almost exactly the same, and I’ve been searching everywhere for a mirror frame to dress it up a little without ripping the whole dang thing off. I’m loving the “Black Tribeca” frame! This is definately on the top of my “need to get” list when we redo the bathroom in the next month or two!

  409. cherokee java is my fave. I’d use it for our master bath…in serious need of some sprucing UP!

  410. Love the Chelsea in Espresso. It would go in my master bath and tie nicely with our bedroom furniture.

  411. I really like your own choice of Cherokee in Dark Walnut. I liked Soho too, but the black was too stark for my style. Lovely vanity makeover!

  412. I love the classic Pemaquid in Porcelain White. I have a traditional bathroom and this would be perfect!

  413. There were several I liked, but the Pacifica in Silver Sheen was my fav. Very cool company and concept.

  414. I love the Broadway style, but am thinking that the Chelsea will go better with the decor I aready have in my Master Bath. Hope I win!!

  415. I love the Venetian Silver Wave. I would definitely do this in my Master Bath. Thanks for the giveaway!

  416. The Chelsea in Black satin for my most used bathroom which is our girls bathroom but also the guest bath.

  417. Cherokee in Dark Walnut for my bedroom! It looks *just* like that “before” photo at the moment.

  418. Pemaquid Old World Silver for our downstairs bathroom. What a wonderful product, thanks for sharing this, and all your lovely project ideas.

  419. I love this look and would also go with the Cherokee Dark Walnut so I would not have to agonize over a paint color for my currently white vanity. LOVE IT!

  420. I’m waiting for my samples to come in. I’ve got two bathrooms I want to spruce up with MirrorMate.
Looking at the MEDITERRA GLAZED STONE and BELLEMEADE TRADITIONAL CHERRY!

  421. I love all the designs but I can’t make them work on my mirrors because the clip sticks out to much for us to use this.

  422. Cherokee in dark walnut. Thanks for this post! I had no idea this product existed, but wanted to frame my bathroom mirror. Maybe now I’ll stop putting off the project!

  423. What a great makeover. You have totally inspired me to update my contractor grade bathroom which looks MUCH like your original! Thanks for such a great post.

I love your Mirrormate frame! I also would like the Cherokee style in Dark Walnut for my master bathroom.

  424. This post inspired hubby and I to redo our horrible YUCK vinyl wrapped bathroom this weekend and I am thrilled to say the least. Thanks for the inspiration and tips! I followed them religiously and couldnt be happier with the outcome!
