One of the places I love most on earth is Paris. There’s something about that city ~ the romantic language, the architecture, the museums, the food, j’adore it all. I haven’t been to the City of Light since before my kids were born, but I dream of returning in the next few years. In fact, I’m secretly plotting to spend my 40th birthday wandering the streets of Paris, eating cheese, drinking wine, popping into shops and museums, and pretending I’m a Parisian for at least a week.
*Sigh*
Where was I? Oh yes, back to reality. When Megan of Modern Bird Studios offered me a custom one-of-a-kind work of art from her studio, how could I resist a recreation of my favorite view ? 
In my office window sits a custom 24” x 12” Eiffel Tower painted on wood just for little ol’ me in beautiful plum on a soft gray background. My current travel dream is to pack up our boys and head to Spain for a month. We rent a cottage outside of Barcelona and just bask in the freedom of enjoying the culture and being away from the stresses of home.
I dream of traveling to so many places but Tokyo tops the list because my hubby shares the same dream form the moment we met. One day we’ll live out that dream :-)

I’ve always wanted to go to Paris too! and I would love to see Italy now that I’m married to a man who’s part Italian.
I would love to see machu picchu Peru.
I dream a weird travel dream. before i was married, i traveled quite a lot–even living overseas in places that had a much lower standard of living. but after six years of marriage, i’ve realized that because my husband hasn’t traveled in the third world, he doesn’t understand some of the things that are really important to me. so, i’d really love to travel to some third world areas with him. but with four small children of our own, it seems like a dream that is light years away.
