You can’t pick up anything like rocks or pinecones inside the park, but there are some pine cones outside the park to the south. And maybe in other places. My favorite was the trip to Glacier Pt at the end of the day. The ranger is older, littler, from Massachusettsl, and a really good story teller.

Yosemite! When we were there it was hotter than anything in the middle of June. Be sure to get lanyards to hold your waterbottles, or they won’t let you take water with you on the mule rides. We took an art class outside, and went on a photography walk. Be sure to go the main tourist center to see the whole valley carved out of some metal and you view it from the top. Buy souvenirs. They are the best. I have little rubber ducks with ranger hats on them and also little bear forest rangers.

Yosemite should be spectacular—My sister went 2 weeks ago and said the water levels were higher and the waterfalls are amazing. She hiked up to Vogelsang and there was still snow on the ground! Have a wonderful time.

Have fun at Yosemite! I think that’s Bridal Veil Falls from some pictures I’ve seen. Never been there, but my husband proposed to me at the base of Bridal Veil Falls in Valdez, Alaska while on a whitewater rafting excursion. Happy memories! Hope you have a great trip!!
