So sorry all of your hard work is tarnished! As long as the wallpaper isn't damaged, I'd simply touch up the paint and use several layers of a water based polycrylic on top. I was wondering if you could help me. It has only been in the house a few days and already has mustard splattered on the wallpaper! (how did this happen? Couldn't have anything to do with my 2 year old....) When I went to wipe it off not only will it not come off but some of the paint started to come with it! We put layers of polyurethane on it but it's obviously not enough to protect it. Is there any type of finish that will protect it better and allow me to wipe it clean if it is ever attacked with mustard again?
