Calling All Guest Bloggers

By Kate Riley October 22, 2009

Hi all !  Do you have a harvest or holiday craft or recipe you’d like to feature ?  Does your family have a special tradition you’d like to share?  Is there some decorating or seasonal project you’d like to showcase ?

The week of November 23rd (Thanksgiving Week) is Guest Blogger Week.  You don’t need to have a blog to participate.  All I will need is an article and a few good pictures.  Send me an email if you’d like to be a part of the week’s lineup.  I only have room for ten, so let me know soon.

Cheers to all of you in this upcoming holiday season,

  1. I was recently given the ‘gentle nudge’ needed to break into a public blogging world. (my family blog is at peachnme.blogspot.com) I have lots of drafts and am still making decisions about background, etc. but will have this blog up and running (with about 15-25 posts from the last month or so) in a few days time.
It’s a Charmed Life will be about finding the charming or the wonderful in the everyday. My draft posts include DIY projects, autumn decor, garden recipies, cleaning tips, etc. I am also excited to say that I already have some giveaways lined up!
Okay – that being said – I love looking at your blog and would be thrilled to guest post a family recipe – maybe a dessert braid, winter decorating idea, or cute (and simple) winter sewing project for a ‘little princesses’.
    Thank you for the fun!

  2. Hi Kate,

I would love to help in whatever way I can! Let me know if there are any openings left! I could a tablescape post or maybe share a yummy recipe!

  3. My strength is cooking, and I’ll be featuring a sweet-potato pecan pie for our annual Thanksgiving dinner. Happy to be a contributor!

    Best,
    Sarah

  4. I’d love to send my addition! I just just started a blog, but have lots of family holiday traditions to share. At my parents’ house we do Channukah – potato Latkes with homemade cranberry sauce, bake challah (braided egg bread). For T-giving – more cranberry sauce, pumpkin ice cream, amazing homemade stuffing. We also do tons of flowers and centerpieces.

  5. It will be cool to see who you feature! :) I’ll have to think about what I might be able to submit…not sure my little mix of “fluff” is quite up to par with your CG fabulousness, but I can try. ;)

  6. I usually make my mom’s super easy Sweet Potato with Marshmallows bake, everywhere I take it get back a clean plate :D

  7. Hi. I follow your blog through Goggle Reader. I’d love to guest blog. My blog is down right now (getting a fun makeover), but it should be up by the end of the week. My family is full of Christmas traditions (i.e. Fruit basket delivery, Christmas Eve Party, Pajama Christmas, Advent dinner swap). I know you may have enough people, but I’d love to guest blog if you are interested.

  8. I’d LOVE to be one of your guest bloggers – I’m a baker, and I’d love to do a delectable holiday themed dessert for you and your readers. By the way, I’m really enjoying your blog… so many wonderful ideas!

Stop over and have a look at some yummy food!

  10. I’d LOVE to be one of your guest bloggers – I’m a baker, and I’d love to do a delectable holiday themed dessert for you and your readers. By the way, I’m really enjoying your blog… so many wonderful ideas! Glad I found it!!!

  11. So, I am big fan of yours and would be totally honored to do a guest post. I am working on a fall painting that I would love to share!

  12. Hey, what about featuring a few of us at a time…..like I could be with Amanda @Serenity NOw…..she could do the witty part and I could do the dull and practical part or something like that…..:) just a thought….and I need to check with Amanda, but the real idea is to have a few collaborate together……..

  13. I can’t tell if any of my comments are going thru. I don’t see them? Anyway, I sent you an email Kate. I would love to do a guest post for you! So many projects to choose from…gotta figure out which one is CG-worthy to write about!

  14. I’m still getting my feet wet around here and I’m not quite ready to volunteer to “guest” on a blog with a following like yours. I can’t wait to see who you feature…and maybe I’ll be ready the next time.

  15. Two projects come to mind – either a no-sew table runner and matching napkins or a paint project that is ironed on to a runner or tablecloth. The painting project is easy -no exp. req’d – but not sure anyone would have time during Thanksgiving week to do it. I’d be happy to guest blog on either one, if you’d like something other than cooking. Thanks for the opportunity.

  16. WOW! looks like you already have your 10 PLUS more. I do have a fun project that is a tomato cage tree. Its you use a tomato cage turned upside down, wrap w/ greens, lights and attach ribbon and ornaments – instant decorated tree!! and the best part- you dont have to take it down each you- you just put a plastic bag over it and store it away for the next year! I have a tree for every room and it takes me less than 30 min to put them all up!!

  17. Oops…don’t know if my comment went through or not. I’d love to do a post on holiday decorating for our first home and having family over for the first time this holiday season! :)

  18. I think it would be fun to be a guest blogger, but I see you already have way more than 10. You are a very popular lady. I could submit a DIY, craft, decorating or organizing post. If you’d like to see previous posts you can check them out here: http://organizeyourstuffnow.com. I love your site and get some great inspiration for my own home. Thanks for sharing all your wonderful ideas and your beautiful home with us. Hopefully my mudroom will be done next week and I can show the finished product.

  19. We always run a half marathon on Thanksgiving Day. I could write a post about the run and our longstanding tradition. It wouldn’t be a recipe laden, traditional Thanksgiving post, and I imagine it would be brief, but if you are interested, I’ll put one together.
