No, You’re Fabulous

July 25, 2009

I am always so delighted to receive your links and photos of the pieces you’ve transformed.  I especially appreciate when you tell me this site has in some small way inspired you.  *blush*

Here are a few revamps that some CG Readers have emailed to me or featured on their blog.

Sarah C. was inspired by my tree branch jewelry holder to make her own decor from a tree branch for her bedroom.  With a can of orange spray paint, she used a gum tree to create a stunning focal point over her bed.  To me, this looks like something right out of Domino.  I love it.

Monica, from Monica Wants It was inspired by the little shelf in my daughter’s room. She turned a tacky gold garage sale shelf into her own classy craft display.  Can you believe the difference?  Read all about it here.

Karli over at Rocky Bella revamped a whole set of dining room chairs.  All of her hard work paid off – look here for the details.

My friend Lindsay over at Living with Lindsay was inspired by the antique paint treatment I used in my Cinderella dining chair revamp, and came up with her own brilliant transformation.  You’ll be amazed like I was.  See the full story here.

Stefanie at Artsy Momma blog redid a magazine stand with some new fun colors and my best friend, spray paint.  Doesn’t it look like something for sale at Z Gallerie?  Read the details here.

Sarah A. from Belgium at Crafty Waffles blog sent me a tale of her beast to beauty chair renovation.  She was also inspired by my Cinderella chair.  Read all about her chair here

Finally, take a look at these photos sent to me by designer Kyle Schuneman.  You know, the Kyle Schuneman responsible for Tyra Banks’ office, featured on every design blog in the last month, and the office I featured here

Kyle transformed a vinyl Sears & Roebuck from the 50s:

Oh my, look at this chair after he finished it:

This young designer has an amazing eye, and a bright future.  I can’t wait to follow his career.

Enjoy these inspiring changes, and keep sending me the links !

I think my favorites are the garage sale shelf makeover and the spray painted magazine rack. This is possibly because anything involving fabric scares me! I love Lindsay's chair, but I have not the slightest clue as to how to create slip covers. I'm still working on sewing a straight line. ;) Someday, right? :)
