Art Photography GIVEAWAY!
July 20, 2009
Hello friends. I am pleased to introduce you to an amazing travel and interior design photographer, Mr. Tim Irving.
Tim Irving is a full time photographer, who has been taking photographs since he was 9 years old. He’s English, and attended art school in London, which included a spell at the Royal College of Art.
Mr. Irving specializes in travel and interior photography. He earns his living taking photos of houses and interiors, for magazines, agencies and holiday brochures. He also produces art photographs which he sells in his Etsy shop. He resides in Spain, but travels extensively for his work, all through Europe, India and Africa. He has another Etsy shop Spanish Angels featuring vintage treasures from Spain and France (not included in giveaway).
Now doesn’t his life sound so exotic? Just looking at his images and his Etsy shops takes me right back to my European travels from years ago. Sigh.
Tim Irving’s recent work has been seen in Time Magazine, The Times (London), the National Portrait Gallery (UK), Lowry Gallery (UK), My Castle in Spain (blog) and the book ‘100 of the Best Tapas Bars in Granada’ (limited availability on Amazon). For a look at selected images available for sale on his Etsy shop, look here.
You can also follow Tim’s blog StyleMed, featuring a glimpse at Mediterranean style and design. How fascinating is his life !

I LOVE THE CALLA LILLY B&W Picture!!!!
Calla's are my favorite :)
Wow, his photography is spectacular! I think my favorite is ‘Lie Back and Think of Poppies’.
And I have to say… I spent about 2 hours on your blog this morning soaking it in. Wow, your talent is amazing! Oh to be even half as crafty as you are…
I love "Red Ripe"! It would look great in my kitchen.

I discovered Mr. Tim Irving about a month ago and have been eyeing the "devotion to the ocean" print on his etsy shop. I love the soothing color, relaxing scene, and rustic quality. My husband and I live in Florida and are addicted to the water! Unfortunately, we are in the process of selling our ticket to our devotion . . . our boat. We are getting serious about starting a family in the next few years, and we decided to get rid of those extra frivolous expenses and save as much as we can.
(sigh)
I would hang this refreshing print on a blank wall in our foyer. It will be the first thing you see as you enter the house, so that as we leave the chaotic world outside we can come home, see the print and let out a big sigh of relief . . . devotion to the ocean.
The photograph I like the best is "Vintage Spanish flamenco dress".
I love this photograph – the colours from the traditional Andalucian home form a wonderfully sombre background to this beautiful dress. It's not just the colour – its the tradition and value that contribute to its beauty. I am an amateur photographer myself and have lived in different parts of Spain some time ago. When I was in my twenties I swirled around (or attempted to) the feria de abril in Seville – something I will never forget – this photograph would help me to remember.
Tough challenge to pick just the one but thank you ever so much for highlighting his work. I'll no doubt be making a purchase even if I#m not the chosen one. I'm a bit torn between "devotion to the ocean" and "paper lanterns" but I'm going to devote my choice to … devotion to the ocean. When I first saw it, I just stared at it for a while, and have gone back to do the same since. It just captivates me
Pink citroen car… for sure. lots of great stuff!!! ever since i got prego for some strange reason i lloovvee pink!!

These are beautiful, it is hard to limit myselt to one! But I love 'High Tide' and would put it next to my bed so I would see it every morning. I love the beach and this picture looks so calming! Great shop, I've marked it as a favorite at etsy.
I love the Button Tin! would definately be displayed in my sewing room.
I love the one labeled province, france!
I would give it to my mother because she would absolutely love it. Im pretty sure she would hang it in the living room above the couch. we have a perfect spot for it!
I love "Carousel"! It is the type of piece you could design a room around. I see it in my daughter's room when she is ready to move out of her nursery or in a fanciful living space; it reminds you to live like a child for a moment at least!
Hello Kate – what a fabulous giveaway this is! I've seen Tim's work before and really admire it. I think my favorite is "Devotion to the Ocean" and I would hang it proudly in my living room next to the fireplace! Thank you for the chance to win!
Blessings,

I LOVE this giveaway this one is my favorite
Provence, France 1999
But I really really had the hardest time deciding :)
Devotion to the Ocean. What a great assortment of pictures. I'd put this one in my dining room.
I love the African Kitchenalia. Awesome.
Lovely photos! The French landscape with poppies caught my attention – I have a soft spot for those bright red poppies. It would provide just the right pop of color in my bedroom.
They are all beautiful, but I think the French Landscape with Red Poppies and If you Dream of Trees are my favorites!
Definitely "The Embrace, French Cherry Tree" for my bedroom. :)
Nothing like a giveaway to get me out of lurk-dom. :)
I love Carousel and Think Pink. I love them all, but you asked us to choose. ;)
Great artist spotlight, CG!!
I would loooooove to have any for my dorm, but especially the Paris one. It would go with my black and white paris them in my room. plus I am talking french in the fall!
"African Kitchenalia" really grabbed me. Form and function–simple and stunning.
Thanks for sharing these amazing photos!
I really like the Provence, France picture and the Lie Back and Think of Poppies….they are all so beautiful!
Thanks for the giveaway!
Tana@ Crafting R&R
Any of the ones with cherries would look great in my red kitchen. I also really love the embrace with the cherry tree. It would look absolutely perfect in my bedroom. Beautiful pictures!!
lewis.jessica1@gmail.com
I have been to his etsy site before and L.O.V.E. the Red Ripe photograph – I don't know what it is about it, but I just love it. I would make a great frame for it (a repurposed frame of course) and set it on my table in the living room that needs a little "something, something". All the photo's are amazing though………….why must we chose?
I love anything that has to do with Spain. i lived there for a short time, but my favorite is "over the garden fence." It reminds me of my wedding bouquet. If I had that picture I would place it in my kitchen since i have no windows. I could pretend I live in a house with a white picket fence and a garden with lovely flowers like these.
These are a-mazing. I love the Provence France and the Over the Garden Fence. These are exactly the type of pictures I have been searching for my daughters new "big girl" room. Perfect.
Wow awesome photographs – Thanks for the Give away. I really like 'Carousel 1970' reminds me of childhood fairs. It is my 5 yr old's favourite too!
btw I have been really enjoying your blog. I only came across it about a month ago…love how creative you are!
I've got a thing for poppies so I'd have a hard time picking from those including poppies! All of his work is beautiful though!
I love this work! If I could have anything, I would pick "Look Up."
csmith12406@yahoo.com
My favorites are the Paris ones, love the Paris Metro…reminds me of my Paris vacation…I would love it for our living room to add to our little "Paris" corner.
I love, love, love Over the Garden Fence…gorgeous. I just painted my bedroom with these colors and have been looking for artwork. I haven't found anything until now. Thanks for your hard working blog. It's awesome!

I LOVE 'red ripe'!! Actually, I love them all!
they're awesome. I like the citrus fruit and the scarlet ivy both on the etsy page.
Wow, it's hard to pick my favorites, but since I have to… I'll say French Landscape with Poppies and Over the Garden Fence. Thanks!
I did go over to Mr. Irving's site and truly love his images. "Child Entertainer" was fabulous.
My eldest child is leaving for college/life and I am currently transforming her room into a guest room/studio when I am not sobbing. :)
"Over the Fence" would be perfectly lovely hanign in this space.
I love the carousel! And the ferris wheel, even though I'm deathly afraid of them… And my hubby would love the yellow jersey :)
I'm with Mr. CG and loving the Yellow Jersey photo!
If I had to choose just one, it would be "Over the Garden Fence," and I would put it in my living room. Thanks for introducing us to this wonderful photographer and his shop.

My favorite's are Province France for my bedroom or African Kitchenalia for anywhere in my house. I love them both!
Oh wow. Wow wow wow. Like I needed ANOTHER thing to lust after … LOL! Who can pick just one?? I narrowed my favs down to:
Resting
If you Dream of Trees
Over the Garden Fence
The Embrace
African Market
I would put any of these anywhere in my house, but because they are devoid of love and art, would likely choose my kitchen or the, *gasp* bathroom.
I just love these..they are so beautiful. It is so hard to pick just one, but I think it would be 'table for 2' for me!
My favorite is "Red Ripe". So simple and beautiful!
I can only choose one?!?! I think 'Temptation' would look the best in my kitchen. Just the name alone might *tempt* me to do some cooking!
I love the Provence, France one. The wood fence, the bicycle, and the basket of flowers is gorgeous. I think I might put it in my bedroom because the picture relaxes me. Thanks for sharing this wonderful artisit with us!
Wow, his work is so gorgeous. We're currently trying to somewhat remodel the living room in our apartment, and would absolutely love one of these to help with that. It's really hard to pick a favorite (I kept clicking back and forth for a long while), but I think I'd pick Alpine Clouds. So lovely and peaceful.
I also love Devotion to the Ocean. I love the vintage style of the photograph. The clouds remind me of my childhood: old pictures, picnics, watching the sky for cloud figures or jet planes, sandy sandwiches and sunshine. Yet, the blue of the waves is modern and fresh. I'm moving to a creaky place on the Chesapeake Bay, this picture would be perfect in my new to me, old place.
I love Paris Metro — it reminds me of my first trip to Paris a couple of years ago. It would look lovely in my French kitchen overlooking my rose and jasmine trellis.
The Carousel is by far my favorite. How lovely of Tim to sponsor this give away!! Thank you both!
Hmmm … I like African Kitchenalia or Over the Garden Fence. Either would look lovely in my kitchen. Love your blog!! I found you today from One Pretty Thing.
I love Provence, France. I have decided to actually decorate my bedroom and that picture would be beautiful above my bed. thanks for the great giveaway! Shannon
Perfect for the kitchen would be
African Kitchenalia and African Market
thanks
I am in lOVE with "over the garden fence" i have been looking for a picture like this one to put on my one lone bedroom wall :)
My very, very favorite is Provence, France, although it's incredibly hard to pick just one! I believe I would hang it either in my bathroom or by my bed. I am loving Tim's work! Thanks for telling us about him! I hope to purchase some pictures for my college apartment.
This one is my fave: African Kitchenalia
It would be perfect for our kitchen!
Hi, I'm having such a hard time picking just one favorite photo…I'm just lovin them all! If I were forced to pick, it would be "African Market"…I would place it on a shelf in my kitchen to add a punch of color and some wonderful character!

I absolutely LOVE your blog! These pictures are fantastic, too! You've got a good eye… I think my favorite is "The Embrace, French Cherry Tree." I'm moving into a new, bigger apartment with lots of extra wall space and can think of a million places to hang it… but I'll probably be greedy and keep it in my bedroom. :)
Oh I think the carousel is lovely AS IS the dinner for two. Thanks for the great giveaway.
xoxo MMW
It's been a tough decision, but I'm picking "Lie Back and Think of Poppies."
I love African Kitchenalia… thanks so much for this opportunity!
My favorite is "African Kitchenalia", and I would happily hang it in my kitchen over my table. It's beautiful!
I love "Lone Parent" it will look great in my little girls bookcase.
They are all amazing!! to chose one favorite is sooo hard. But I would chose ‘Devotion to the Ocean’ since I love the vibrant color of the blue ocean. I would put this on my wall in my office.
gwtw1914@aol.com
Love that first one! (Over the garden fence) That shade of blue is my new obsession and I love the pink flowers with it!
I love Provence France. It's romantic and beautiful. It would go in the dining room. Wouldn't it make a great conversation piece over dinner? It's beautiful.
This beach girl would have to say Devotion to the Ocean..but then again, I've always wanted a dog..
Devotion to the ocean
I adore High Tide and Gina, Venice Beach. They'd look great in my aqua office.
Kathleen
OMG!!! How can I choose… ALL are absolutely stunning!!! I think because I just became the proud owner of a beach cruiser purchased at the Chelsea flea market in NYC, I am drawn to
"Provence, France 1999" so I would have to say I choose that one. it would look fabulous hung in my living room on my pale yellow walls with white trim, behind my vintage moss green queen ann chairs. =)
ooohhh… crossing my finger & my toes for this one!
I like several, but the best to me is the Caroussel, followed by the flamingo dress.
I love the "Provence, France" Its simple and beautiful the picture could go anywhere in my home and look lovely!
I love “Andalucia – Spanish Landscape.” What an amazing picture and it would look beautiful on my very bare living room walls. I have been looking gor a picture that will bring the colors together, and this is definitely it!
I absolutely LOVE “Street Party” and I would hang it in our kitchen just above our breakfast table.
Hello! I love so many of them. I hope the artist wouldn’t be insulted if I put Alpine Clouds in my bathroom. It’s so lovely and would go beautifully with the colours on my walls. Everyone uses the bathroom several times a day so it would receive plenty of viewership!
