Great job, very inspiring! I too would love to know, is the map laminated or straight paper? Did you only staple around the perimeter or throughout the inside of the map as well?

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!!!! I’m thinking about making this room my kids space! And my daughter is only 7 months! Just wondering one thing though: The wall color in one picture looks like a beautiful muted yellow, but on the close up of the compass, it looks more tan? Which would you say it is? Your blog is so inspiring! I love all of your DIY tips. My husband and I are about to give up our “formal” office so that we can have a casual den/playroom. I am sick of having toys strewn all over our house. We currently have natural poplar paneling in this room that my husband refuses to let me paint. (Apparently, I am the only one that hates it). Any tips for merging a rustic room with a not so rustic style?

i love your map idea and you executed it so well!! i was wondering if you could share more details on how many staples you put into the map/wall, i.e. spacing? did you laminate the map or anything? has it held up well to dust and such?

I just LOVE your room and am going to “borrow” some of your ideas for our game room. I wanted to do a wall map and am really glad you linked to your source.
